Will most likely not return.

Hotel is quite old. The staff at the reception is not very friendly. Parking is pricey at $22 (CAD) per night.

Delightful

We found Delta Hotel in Quebec City to be an excellent choice. Proximity to Upper Town, Citadelle, and the Grand Allee was ideal. The hotel met our every expectation. Would definitely return and highly recommend to others.

Stealing from the room

We had several baby clothing items lifted from the room during our 12-night stay. Upon my complaint, the receptionist didn’t seem concerned and acted like I was making it up. I won’t stay at Delta Quebec again.

It’s a good hotel in a good location but,

The hotel is in a very good location. The location was convenient. Our room was on the third floor, the same floor as reception. The carpets could have been cleaned better. The air conditioner leaked. I pity anyone that would get a room near the door from the reception area to the customer rooms as it make quite a noise. The receptionist was very helpful and nice. All in all it was an alright place to stay. It is connected to the mall- take the mall escalators rather than walking up the hill.

Good place to stay in Quebec

Excellent location - a block away from the Old City. Room and bathroom were spacious, lots of little things to make a stay for a few days very comfortable. However, for what is charged for the room, the parking should be free.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Great location for sight-seeing and for everything else that tourists may need.

Great service and Comfortable Accomodations

This hotel is a short walk away from Old Quebec and near the night life of Quebec. The hotel gym was superior.

Excellent Hotel

The Delta Quebec is conveniently located in the modern Parliamentary area just beside the charming shops and restaurants of the rue St. Jean and Grand Allee leading into the Old City. The outdoor pool (with access through an indoor vestibule) was a unique experience; I swam a kilometer each day at temperatures as low as -13F=-27C and once in falling snow. The in-house restaurant had simple and reasonably priced, but excellent fare; I liked the duck breast, sauteed snails, lobster bisque soup, pasta, and panini. I would certainly return, especially for skiing some 30 minutes away; there were a number of ski tours lodged there during our stay. Rooms were clean and neat and hotel service was readily available, polite, and efficient. Parking and internet access were not included with the rooms available through Expedia; also, multiple computers are charged separately (although the unexpected duplicate charge was waived at my request).

Traveler's tip on dining

I particularly enjoyed the J.A. Moisin gourmet epicerie just a block away on the rue St. Jean; my children waived dessert at a fine restaurant to get back to the treats waiting in our room. The fancy Louis Hebert restaurant on the Grand Allee was world-class and worth the not-unreasonable price for that level of quality. Dress warmly, with warm boots, gloves, and hoods during the winter months.

Delta Hotel - Quebec City

The beds are the most comfortable I have ever experienced, the bathrooms sparkling (though the towels are rough), and the pool a grace - but overall the service was extremely lacking. The food at the hotel was horrible, the waiters and barstaff don’t enjoy their jobs and one even took out her unhappiness on her customers. There is no room service after 11pm, and if they tell you to call another number, be forewarned - you will not be able to charge it to the room - cash only for after 11p food in room. Be sure to ask for a room on the north or east side of the building with a view. With so many other choices in Quebec, especially hoteliers that pride themselves on the Quebec style of local foods and the like, the Delta is not a place I would stay again. Every hotel is with waling distance of the Conference Ctr. and everything else. Quebec is a small city; a smaller hotel might be the best way to experience the place.

Traveler's tip on dining

Yuzo is a wonderful restaurant with amazing food and service. Make sure to get out of the old city and experience other neighborhoods, especially the Saint-Jean outside of the walls.

French and comfortable

Our stay at the Delta Quebec was very comfortable. The room was large and modern; it had just been renovated and had a nice flair without being overly decorated. The restaurant was very good. All of the staff were very nice. We loved Quebec, and will probably stay here when we have time to visit again.

Traveler's tip on dining

Ancien Canadianne is a very nice small bistro with a really good prixe fixe lunch. Poisson D’Avril has all you can eat mussels with more sauce choices than you can possibly try - go with a group and try more!

Basic utilitarian conference hotel

Delta is connected to the QCCC by a fairly glum underground passsage lined with mostly boarded up shops and otherwise empty space. It is OK to get to the convention center without going out in the rain, but not in any sense a "welcoming" space. The hotel is a fairly utilitarian conference center adjacent hotel. "Non-smoking" room seemed to be taken fairly loosely...my room had no ashtrays, but the "newly redone" bed smelled of old smoke. I was too tired by the end of each conference day to complain, so I can’t say if they would have moved me or replaced all the bedding had I asked. Exercise facility is spartan but machines are OK, useful given that it rained the whole time I was there.

Peripheral to historic center, but within walking distance of it.

Odd location across from Administrative Offices, but close enough to everything that matters in the historic center. Just uphill of very nice shops and eateries along Rue St-Jean, it’s a steep walk, though. The room was nice, although the bathroom lacked a ventilation fan. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Business center in lobby was a plus.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Between the countryside tour and the historic center tours, the later of these was much more interesting.

The Delta is a Standout!

Among the many great advantages of staying at the Delta was that no matter where I went or how lost I got, I just had to look up and locate that tall building with "Delta" clearly spelled out, located like a beacon on top of a high hill, and so find my way back! The beds were so comfortable, I reluctantly got up each day! The location is perfect, to the side of the absolutely impressive Parliament Building, between The Grand Allee and Rue St. Jean--the former choc-a-bloc with outdoor restaurants; the latter offering every kind of amenity one could desire--supermarket, drugstore, great bakery, etc. Besides, the hotel is within easy walking distance of all the lovely city sights that one would want to visit, my special favorite being Bas-Ville--again, with many wonderful outdoor restaurants along Rue St. Paul. Also easy to reach from the hotel and so delightful to dawdle along was Le Petit Champlain with it’s many lovely boutiques. The only criticisms I would have of the Delta are minor: the lighting in the room could have been a bit brighter and the shower could have been a bit stronger--but these are such small disadvantages when weighed against the many great qualities which have me saying enthusiastically, "Can’t wait to go back!"

Not Impressed-Should be rated a 2 -3 Star .

The standard room had 2 double beds. There was no mirror or dresser in the room.Window curtins were old and tattered with cuts and holes in them. The tile in the shower had some mildew spots in the grout. After complaining to the front desk,we were upgraded to a "Preferred Room"for no charge. This room was not much better. It actually was slightly smaller, but did have a dresser and mirror. The window curtains were in worse shape than the ones in our first standard room.Rooms are badly in need of renovation! I must say that the hotel staff was quite friendly and courteous, however.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Very good location for quick walking access to the Quebec "Old City"-about a 10 minute walk.
