It’s a really strange hotel.

This hotel is more like a home stay but also try to rip you off, the staffs there never wear any uniform. and different staffs gave you different price for things. like asking them to arrange a taxi to airport, one said 50 usd for two persons, one said 70 usd for two persons. later we found a taxi 20 usd for two persons. and we asked to for the trip to Halong bay, this hotel asked for 280, in the information center, we found the trip to Halong bay is 99 dollar. The breakfast is not tasty at all, and dont have much to choose. and most disppointly, the bedsheet had blood on it, and we requseted to change. and the Cleaner told us that it’s just wine stain, and it’s no need to worry. at the end she changed it but the other bed sheet still had the stain. so not clean. the bathroom toliet paper was the worst i ever see, shower area full of mod and stains. The aircon was just on top your bed, made so uncomfortalbe to sleep at night. I can’t stand anymore, so quick change to Sofitel Metropole in Hanoi, much better. Gosh, never go to this hotel. Please trust me.

Traveler's tip on shopping

If you shop on the street, make sure bargain the ask price of 50%, most people ask quite a high price, you will need to cut them off, or show them you are firmed with the price you offer.

A fantastic hotel plus your one-stop-shop for arrangements

This charming hotel is situated right in Hanoi Old Quarters just as the title suggests. We were welcomed as if we had been the only guests and upgraded for free to a suite that happened to be available. If the chaotic streets of Hanoi electrify your senses like they did for us, I recommend the side of the hotel with a view of the bridge that dumps out into a less-than-orderly traffic circle. Like most Old Quarter intersections, the traffic "patterns" were simply mesmerizing. Katy at the hotel wins the award for BEST EVER in terms of good advice, arranging activities and generally caring about our stay. Her staff (go Tuy!) welcomed us with a cold water every time we walked through the door and made us feel very special. They are sweet beyond what you’d imagine. We showed up to Vietnam with some general ideas and the hotel’s staff advised us on how to put a full trip together but careful to take into consideration our traveling preferences. You don’t need to make any other arrangements for tours to Ha Long Bay and the sort. They’ll do all that for you on the spot while saving you lots of money and research time, not to mention shaky internet reservations that could disappoint. Fantastic, fantastic!
