This hotel was very dated. It had the typical Hampton bed but the comfort stopped there. Bathroom was old and dirty. Room in general was old and dirty.

I was introduced to the Hilton line of hotels through a reservation from my in-laws for a stay at the Hampton while we were on vacation. The affordable luxary and availability make the Hampton our family’s preferred choice when traveling, whether from city to city, or just to get away from the house for a night. I have stayed at a Hampton Inn in 7 different locations, and all have been extremely satisfactory. Two main requirements are the wi-fi service, which has excellent connection strength even near international airports, and the continental breakfast. There is a wide variety of options for the young and old to dine at convenient hours during a stay. My family looks forward to both leisure and business trips because of the rest and relaxation offered by the Hampton Inn & Suites, and the Hilton chain.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

When traveling to a new destination and staying at a Hampton Inn, the chance of the desk clerk having reliable knowledge of the area for shopping, restaurants, and attractions, is extremely high. Do not be afraid to ask questions of the area, no matter how trifle or akward the question(s) may be. Asking for extra amenities is also welcome.

Nice, clean hotel room with efficient service. I liked the complementary Twix on arrival and the free breakfast buffet was superb--the best fresh fruit I’ve had in a hotel in years. Plenty of places to eat at nearby exits and a gas station right next door (handy if you have to return a rental car with a full tank).

The only place we’ll stay in Kansas City!

This Hampton Inn was as affordable as many other hotels we have tried in the area, and far better! The bed was really comfortable, and the room was nice, clean, and quiet. We didn’t hear noise from any neighboring rooms. They have an excellent free breakfast, and everyone was friendly.

Great Hotel

I enjoyed my stay and the staff was great and very helpful. I had a great nights sleep and will stay there when I return to KC.

Excellent as Always

Every Hampton Inn I’ve stayed at has been a great experience, and this one was no different. Overall quality was top-notch; the location (next to the airport and not far from dining and shopping) was perfect; and the customer service was great. There’s a park-n-fly deal there at the hotel to park your car on the grounds while you are away. There’s a shuttle service to take you to and from the airport, starting at 430 am. The shuttle will drop you off at the appropriate terminal for your flight. The shuttle driver was timely and friendly--even so early in the morning. And even though the official breakfast doesn’t start until 6am, there were donuts, bagels, and muffins, as well as juice and coffee for us to have while we prepared for the 430am shuttle. You can’t beat the service and quality of a hotel like this, especially for its reasonable prices. I’ll definitely stay again.

Traveler's tip on dining

There are several dining choices located near the hotel--all within a few miles and are all with easy exits off the freeway. There’s a great new area called "Zona Rosa" that has trendy shopping and dining, that’s a great way to kill some time; and again, is just a few miles away.

Not Impressed

Hotel is dated and rooms are small. You can stay at the Drury a mile down the road which is much nicer.

Nice accomodations and the staff are great. Good breakfast too.

Excellent facilities, friendly, convenient

The "Heavenly" bed was so very comfortable. I had none of the lower back discomfort that I am used to elsewhere. Service was friendly and quick when requested. Of note was the wonderful continental breakfast .. everything you could want and it was delicious. Great shuttle service to and from the airport.

This was the first time we have stayed at a Hampton Inn. It will definitely not be the last time since the hotel was impressive in all regards with a very reasonable rate.

Very Comfortable and Clean

I’ve stayed at Hamptons in Cleveland and Philadelphia. This one at Kansas City near the airport is like the others - comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
