Excellent location and Good Value for Money

This is a decent hotel with nice rooms and view. Rooms are very well kept, get lots of light and are big. Very well furnised and tastefully decorated. Its walking distance from the lake and Gondola is nearby. Plenty of parking and friendly staff. Will go back for sure.

Will never come back!

My family and I were not expecting a lot from this hotel but we had such a bad luck of being next to very loud and ill manered people. They arrive in their room at 3am and talked loudly about what they are going to eat and slam their doors. This happened both nights that we were there. I did not et any sleep. I called for security but no one came. The smell of cigarette smoke is all over even if you requested for a non smoking room. Definitely will never stay here again.

Great stay

The jetted tub in the room was excellent! The room service was speedy. The pillows were too soft, there is a first. The tv was a little small. The bathroom was very nice as well. A great room for a romantic weekend at a great price.

Nice place great indoor pool, just a bit expensive.

It is a beautiful hotel with a great indoor pool. It is on the tahoe strip. It was a bit expensive however all the places in Tahoe are.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

Right in the middle of all the action

MontBleu Casino Resort and Spa

The first night I got there I was expecting the king size room with the large tub and shower. That is the room I booked. They had sold out of that particular room and upgraded us the next night for free. The hotel was smaller then expected, but overall nice. There were small night clubs to go to and different stores to check out. The room was good enough. But the whole bathroom was a peachy marble - very 80’s.

Traveler's tip

There is little night life just a few casinos. A lot of stores close early. So if your hungry at 2am - good luck. Only a couple restaurant stay open 24hrs. There are a few cool clothing stores. Hanging out on the beach is nice - so good for camping/relaxing

Great stay

The Montbleu was great - perfect location and a young, fun crowd. The hotel gave us a room with a jacuzzi at no extra cost which was a treat. It was also much less expensive than the neighboring casinos. I would recommend this hote.

Great location, view, price, pool and room!

We were presently surprised by the great location which was within walking distance of stores, the gondola, restaurants, the beach, and other casinos. We had a view of Lake Tahoe (slightly hindered by the hotel across the street), a large room with a round jacuzzi tub (although you had to be able to handle a large "step" to get in and out). There is a Starbucks in the hotel lobby (none in the room) and we requested a refrigerator. The gym has a glass wall so you can look at the indoor lagoon pool. The photos used for MontBleu need to show the tower and mountain in the back. It’s much nicer than I expected and there was plenty of convenient parking. They even had a farmer’s market on Sunday! We stayed Sunday to Thursday and got a really low rate so we didn’t expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised. Housekeeping spoiled us! We would definitely stay there again.

The kids enjoyed the size of the room, jacuzzi tub, and indoor lagoon pool. We requested the refrigerator for their milk. Great size room for 2 kids and 2 adults. We went next door for the arcade and massive buffet but didn’t try the one in the hotel.

Nice...

We book late and came around 5:00Pm from sacramento, anyway it’s only 2 hrs drive, but we’re still able to get the room we wanted, "lake view side", we’re so impressed that w/o saying anything they upgraded our room from de luxe to premium which is very nice, we enjoyed the very relaxing jacuzzi...unluckily, the pool closed at 9:00Pm so we’re not able to go swimming since we went out for night sight seeing and play casino after. The only negative thing is you can hear your neighbor not a good sound proof room, no frege and microwave. But OVERALL it was a NICE stay, i still recommend this hotel.

Complaint. The room originally booked was not available at checkin. I was downgraded on room selection, without refund of the premium price that I paid on booking.

Not okay

This place was not up to standards. Guests may be deceived at first by the semi nice casino and check in area, but once you get to your room, you’ll notice the difference. The hotel rooms are still not remodeled from being Caesar’s. They are outdated and quite filthy. We had to ask the front desk to come back in and clean again. There was dirty residue in the shower and gross stains in the bathroom.

Paper thin walls

Check-in hostess was less than friendly. Her attitude was poor and her tone was short. Room was made-up, but filthy. Bathtub had hair lining the bottom. Bathroom was not cleaned, especially around the toilet. Carpet was stained and discolored. Walls were paper thin, and we heard every conversation of our neighbors. Dated furnishings. Needless to say, our stay was short, and we won’t stay here again.

Great Room

The hotel was good and our room was great. The 24 hour restaurant had delicious food. The only problem we had was housekeeping. They cleaned the room but did not replenished some of the bathroom stuff. Especially toilet paper. We were there for 3 nights and they only gave us one roll.

Fun for the family

We stayed in a premium room on the top floor which had a partial view of the mountain and the lake, while directly facing Harrahs. There was a storm during 2 of the days we where there, luckily MB has a wonderful heated pool!!! It was really convenient having a hot tub in the room too - the kids love soaking in it. Summary: PROs: (1) great in door heated pool, good towels (2) nice hot tub (3) comfortable beds, but I think they were twin size, not queen size (4) huge separate bathroom with 2 sinks (5) nice restaurants - "Cafe del Sol" has good breakfast (cheap) and pasta (good portion) and the new "Out of the Blue" has good burger (garden burger for vegetarians) and fries. (6) convient location close to the Gondola and Raleys (7) has a nice looking gym (but I didn’t use it); (8) they had a parking lot sale with local artists, we picked up quite a number of wonderful bargains (e.g., nice long sleeve logo shirts for $3) CONs: (1) Room needs a facelist, i.e., carpet, decor (2) Poor sound insolation - lots of noise from the hall and nearby rooms (3) chairs at the pool area had dirty cushions (4) slot machine payout not good, e.g., 7-7-7 only pays $100, not $1000.

Hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome.

Food in the Cafe was great. We were just there overnight after a concert, would definately go back to spend more time around the lake. Gambeling wasn’t the best. Had too much fun shopping.

Neat but noisy on my floor, I think a wedding party.

We found the hotel very nice. We went there on a recommendation. Our floor was a little noisy due to a wedding party. Had nothing to do with the quality of the hotel. However, the vending machine was out on our floor, and we had to go down to sixth floor to get drinks. Other than that it was a good experience. I think Monday morning the buffet breakfast was out. We ate at the cafe’, good food!

Very dated

There was a wad of chewing gum stuck to the TOP of the nightstand and it remained there for 3 days until finally I could catch the housekeeper to remove it. Linens were nice, clean, & beds comfortable but the hotel/casino is very dated, with old remnants of Caesar’s still lurking.

Excellent Value

We had a wonderful four day stay at this hotel! The room was very spacious, with a comfortable king size bed, oversize bathroom, and slight view of the lake (6th floor room). The hotel staff was very pleasant and accomodating. We arrived on a Sunday morning and were able to check in a few hours early, with no trouble. For the price of the room, I think this is one of the best values in Tahoe. A plus is that mid-week there are no crowds at all!!

Traveler's tip on dining

If you drive to the north shore, in Kings Beach there is a great Italian restaurant named "Lanza’s" that is wonderful. It’s right on the main road around the lake, very inexpensive, and get there early because they don’t take reservations and it fills up quickly. Excellent food, highly recommend it and worth the drive.

Best bathroom anywhere !

Loved the hotel! Really big and comfortable rooms. The jacuzzi tub was great! The only problem we had was the fire alarm going off at 3:30 am because someone pulled the alarm and announcements for 45 minutes that they had not found the any danger.Besides that it was a great stay! They waved the 10 dollar resort fee and the price of the room was great.

Traveler's tip on dining

Super restaurant a couple miles away, the Tudor Pub.

Nice bathroom in room

We only stayed one night, but were satisfied and enjoyed the inexpensive breakfast in the morning. The shower was round and could be used as a tub. Cute but hard to get into. Nice place. Good location.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

It was possible to walk to beaches and shopping.
