A great place to stay.
I would like to point out that between the years 1997-2009 I have been to the Vistana 7 times. I absolutely love to come here. Its a quick flight from Boston and it is a great affordable place to stay. The staff is helpful and will work with you to fulfill your requests. The many pools are always clean, the food & drinks are of good quality, and the rooms are spacious and updated. I travel quite often and am fair but critical of the places I visit. I would give the Vistana a 7 out of 10. It is in a great location between Disney, Universal Studios, & the famous International Drive. Some disadvantages would be, early morning wake up calls from the front desk asking about timeshare offers, and other services for sale. That drives me NUTS! Keep the phone off the hook. The 2nd is a catch 22. They are ALWAYS doing landscaping and maintenance all over the complex. Its good to have the place kept up and clean, but it is maddening to hear blowers and pressure washers ALL DAY LONG while you are trying to relax by the pool. --- All in all I love the place. Check it out!
Universal Studios Citywalk is a great place to visit. More or less an Adult theme park. Equipped with nightclubs for all different tastes. Great Margaritas!

Another nice stay!
We have stayed at the Viatana Resort for the third time. This is a lush and large resort with 7 pools. Since this is our 3rd visit we know the resort fairly well and have explored all of it. The staff is always friendly. They also have many activities like outside movies on Saturday night where you can make your own Smores of enjoy free popcorn. We did find a big difference in the beer prices at the pools. One pools had drafts at $4.50 but the other pool had them at $2.00. We will stay there many times in for future trips.

Excellent facilities and location - why rent a villa?
