Surprise across the street to great shopping

We stayed before our cruise. It was great when we arrived we asked the front desk where we could grab a burger and they said the Hard Rock or Chilis was across the street. When we got there it was a beautiful out door mall with many eatery’s/ places with drinks and a band playing dockside. So in the morning before we boarded our ship we went back to shop and look around. Great hotel very good service and info!

Cheap Room with a Fabulous View

The hotel is on the main drag in Miami overlooking the Port of Miami. There is a beautiful park and Bayside Market across the street. The hotel rate was good. But remember the old adage, you get what you pay for. The room needed to be vacuumed when we arrived. The chambermaid never cleaned the 2nd day. Cleaned on the 3rd day, after I asked. Highlights: the view, ask for a room facing the Port of Miami. the hotel restaurant brunch, good food and a great value the rate, cheap accomodations for a parent with kids who stayed free

Great location, but lacking in service and parking

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to going on a cruise. The location is fantastic- very close to the Port of Miami where the cruise ships depart. There’s also a great outdoor shopping mall/galleria accross the street with stores and restaurants. We arrived on a Thursday evening and the front desk was understaffed. I waited 10 minutes before anyone greeted me. The clerk was not very friendly and did not offer any additional information about the hotel, parking, etc. When I asked questions, she acted annoyed that I was asking. VERY limited parking is available, but if you arrive after 7 or 8 pm you may be out of luck. The hotel lot holds maybe 25 cars. Parking also costs $12 per day, and if you leave, you are not guaranteed a spot when you come back. This was dissapointing as we had rented a car to go to a specific restaurant on South Beach. We ended up not going because we feared we woudn’t have a place to park when we came back. The hotel also had wireless internet, but we weren’t close enought to the router in our room (an end room) to be able to use it. I had to go to the lobby to reach the signal. I’d stay here again just because of the close proximity to the port, but I wouldn’t bring a car and I wouldn’t expect much from the service.

There’s a great salsa band and dancing the in pavillion accross the street from the hotel. Definitely check it out on the weekend.
