Beautiful resort
Our stay at Valle di Assisi Hotel e Resort was amazing. The room was small, but very comfortable with new furniture and spotless contemporary bathroom. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, restaurant ’Recanto’ on premises of the resort offered excellent service and good choices of food and wine. The resort has its own vineyard and wine tasting was available. Breakfast was excellent as well with great selection of pastries, yogurts, cereals, fruit, cold cuts, cheeses(no hot meals). The property is huge with big swimming pool and fishing pond and a couple of wine tasting places. You need a car to get to the hotel, but it is very easy to find it: take exit Santa Maria degli Angeli and follow directions to Tordandrea. Plenty of free parking is available on premises. It takes 5 minutes to drive to the beautiful church of Santa Maria degli Angeli and 10 minutes to Assisi. Spend a day in Assisi: it is worth it: you will enjoy breathtaking views of Umbria countryside; San Francesco cathedral is a real gem with amazing frescoes in the lower and upper church. You can also drive to Spoleto, Spello, Montefalco; Perugia is 15 minutes away. We spent 6 days in this hotel and it was unforgettable.
