Great hotel, close to the train station
We’ve stayed in this hotel twice now. They have a nice selection for the continental breakfast, friendly staff, and it’s not too far from the Downeaster train station. They have a shuttle van if you’re coming in by plane, too. It’s surrounded by one-ways, which makes it a little more challenging if you miss the turn. A good family hotel.

While the neighborhood in which the hotel was located seemed just a little seedy, the hotel and room itself were fine. The continental breakfast was very good, and well-stocked. We used the fitness room. It was small, but fine for the short time we were there. We happened to be the only ones using it. We were there to visit Old Port, Kittery, Freeport and Kennebunkport. The location was a nice midway way point, and it was easily accessible to the highway. Staff were friendly and courteous. It was nice having the wireless internet in the room at no extra charge. A lot of places charge for it, or you have to go to a common area to use it. For a one night stay it certainly met my expectations. The bed was very comfortable, I felt I got a good night’s sleep. It was rainy and cold the day of our departure so we were not able to do much walking around, so I was happy check out wasn’t until noon. That was a bonus.

Close to a main highway
Although it was close to the highway, had a devil of a time finding the place--one way streets and signs not apparent. However, it was easy to get on our way in the morning when we could see where we were going! Desk clerk gave us good directions to the waterfront to find seafood and the rooms were clean and spacious. It was quiet in spite of the neighborhood. I’d stay again...
