Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel

Always good

This is one of the hotels on my list of approved lodging facilities when traveling to Toronto. Staff is alway courteous and there is a lively bar area and restaurants in the area. It is directly attached to Eaton Centre which is always a plus during the winter months and inclement weather. Word of Caution: this hotel is the destination of choice for many conventions and shows so can get a bit rowdy during the weekend.

Nice Hotel

Tight parking in front of the hotel when attempting to drop off the family so we could check in. Used the Valet Service ($40 a day, ouch!). The service was good and the door men were helpful. Check in was good and the assistant manager was pleasant and helpful. We had our two kids with us, 15 and 10 and they seemed to enjoy themselves as well. U2 concert, Toronto International Film Festival and Maple Leaf game all happening at the same time we were in town. Lots to see and do. Very trendy part of the city. Some snooty folks but where can you go and not have them.

Took the open top bus tour of the city. Nice that it drops you off right out front of the hotel. Used the City Pass but disapointed that the hockey hall of fame was removed from the list of attractions, even after it is advertised on expedia. Drove to Niagra Falls in about 1 1/2 hours. Very easy to get there.

The hotel rooms look like an old HJ. Very substandard for my taste, if it was’nt for the Conference, i would not have picked this place.

Great staff, excellent Club Level and fitness centre

The staff is very customer-focus and pleasant to interact with. The Club Level is the best that I have visited, and there is ample fitness equipment to accommodate guests in peak times. The lobby is beautiful, and the atmosphere is friendly and comforting. I would recommend this hotel to business and holiday travelers.

Wonderful experience

We loved the comfort of the room and the great views of the city. Popcorn and lemonade a plus!

Would love to stay again

I attended a business conference at the hotel. I found a better deal thru Expedia than the negotiated conference rate. Delayed flights forced late arrival around 2am. The original type of hotel rooms were all occupied, but I couldn’t refuse free upgrade to a royal suite just that night! It was too short to fully enjoy, but did help me recover from the unexpectedly long flight. The rooms were all very clean, everyone at the hotel was very courteous.

Beautiful hotel

This hotel was beautiful. We got there early and our room was ready. It was in walking distance of the Rogers Center. The down sides were it was cost to park. I never expect to pay to park at a hotel. Also, most of the stores in hotel were closed by 4:30.

Nice hotel but had some warts

This was a nice hotel that was clean and comfortable. The service staff were professional and helpful. We had two problems, however. We were unable to access the movie channels or TV menu until about an hour before we were to check out. Also, the breaker tripped in our bathroom and we were left with no power or lights with which to get ready for the day. One other irritation, there were a couple of loud parties that spilled out into the hall on our floor. While security finally came to deal with the situation, it was several hours of loud noise, drunken partiers, and being accosted as you entered or left the floor to deal with in the meantime. I would stay here again, but only at the right price and not withour checking to see what else was out there.

Toronto has an almost unending supply of places to see and things to do, so it’s never a dull or boring time to visit. I would highly recommend spending time in Toronto.

Expedia $50 cheaper than posted hotel rate. Upgraded to suite upon check in without even asking ! Beautiful room, excellent facility. Extremely satisfied with this trip.

Great location, but....

This hotel is very convenient for seeing the sights or shopping in Toronto. Our room was comfortable, but the carpet was not in the best shape. While our room itself was clean, the housekeeping staff apparently didn’t feel as if they needed to clean the hallway leading up to it. Not very appealing to come "home" to an untidy hallway.

Great service, and great location. The bath tub wasn’t clean when we arrived. With a call to the service desk, it was taken care of. And we had a good time.

Ten minutes walk away from the hotel, Crepe Cafe was the best place for breakfast or any meal.

Hotel needs to get in the 21st Century

The hotel was extremely nice, however the internet access in the building was horrible. We were there for an internet conference and the access was very limited. Also, there were power issues in one of meeting rooms.

Don’t eat at the hotel for breakfast. $5 for coffee or juice! Go around the corner to find a Tim Hortons. You will be stuffed on $5.

This hotel is great, the location is amazing, close to everything. The people from the Hotel they really good. I will definitely recomend this hotel.

Toronto favorite

The Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel never fails to excel. For us, the location is ideal as it is close to all that we enjoy in the city. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Even to the front desk doing all that they can to put us in a favored section on the 3rd floor. It’s like having a park like hotel in the middle of a big city.

Traveler's tip on shopping

You can get from the Sheraton Centre to Eaton Mall without ever having to go outside. A real plus in inclement weather. Also the boutiques in the pathway to the Hudson Bay offer a nice selection.

Over rated

The staff is very arrogant to begin with, from the parking valet to the receptionist. They made me feel like I should not be there. Then the parking is very expensive (40 dollars/night) and the valet makes it very obvious that he’s expecting tip. The City Hall parking across the street is twice cheaper than the hotel parking. The Internet is over priced and DOES NOT WORK. Neither wireless or LAN connection work, but they charge you 16 dollars for it. I couldn’t handle some important business matters because the internet was extremely slow, so eventually I went to a coffee shop and used the wireless network there. The hot tub at the spa was kind of dirty and smelly. There was some mold and yellow stains in the bathroom. There was a lot of street noise, even at a higher floor.

Expect two star comfort (a bed, a desk and a TV, nothing else) but get ready to spend big bucks at that hotel.

Night Bright

I really liked the hotel and facilities. The only problem I had was with the room. The heavy curtains stopped only mid way leaving the bright lights of the Toronto night to shine in. It was not possible to have the room completely dark in the night time. It was also a bit noisy but that was to be expected due to the location. If you like a dark night bring very dark night eye covers. If you like quiet bring ear plugs. The gym was very nice. I equipment was very modern and totally comparable to the best.

Excellent Sheraton Hotel

I stay at Sheraton in my lasta vacation on Sept 2003, This year we decided to come back again, so we stayed from April 09 to 15 and was an excellent stay once again, the excelent location, rooms, front desk, access to the path, where you can find anything you want, breakfast at cheap prices, shopping, you can walk from Sheraton to Air Canada Centre and then to the CN Tower, Water Front, there are many activities you can do, on oposite direction you can access to the Eaton Centre throug the Bay, we love this Hotel.

If you rent a car o you come with your own the parking service is expensive is 3o cnd daily plus tax , but you can go and back all day, you can take breakfast at the path, is cheaper tha Tim Hurtons Coffe, in the fron of The hoter cross the Queen Av. you can find hotdogs 2cnd, if you want to visit Niagara Falls you can rent a car and the GPS is very helpful, is cheaper than take a tour, the tous is 150 cnd p/person so renta a car for 100 at day with taxes an insurances is excelent.
