Smelly drain?
The Hsuan-Mei hotel is a smaller boutique hotel, with upgrades to what seemed like once was an older building. The staff were nice and showed us to a room on the first floor that had a wonderfully comfortable bed and beautifully remodeled bathroom. The only thing that bothered me immediately was how dark the room seemed and the stench of old cigarettes. There was already an air-filter in the corner of the room which we had asked one of the staff to help us turn on. While the air-filter did a decent job of reducing the smoke smell, the intense odor of stinky/rotten sewage was a rude awakening for us when we walked into the bathroom the following morning. Because we were only there for 1 night, it didn’t make sense for us to complain about it to the staff. I would give Hsuan-Mei hotel one more chance, if we didn’t stay on the bottom floor again.

Nice comfortable hotel
This was a really nice hotel to stay at, comfortable, clean well staffed. Front Desk staff spoke English and was really helpful. The only negative thing for this hotel was that the MRT transportation was about 15 minutes away. I would stay here again when I am in Taiwan.

Wonderful Hotel
This hotel is really nice, well located. The service staff is really nice and willing to help. The best hotel for the price i ever stayed in china.
