Great place to stay
This hotel was very close to the train station, and convenient to get to. An easy walk with luggage. One block south is a rather racy neighborhood, but the hotel was safe and very nice. There is a small grocery about a block away which has the best breakfast deal around! I would definitely use this hotel again. Can’t beat the price, and despite being so near to the train station, the noise is almost inaudible with the windows closed.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Get breakfast at the nearby grocery. For 1.50 euros, you can get a great cup of coffee and small sandwich.

Not the best place to stay.
There should be a warning that the hotel is on the border of red light district. To get to the Frankfurt Opera from the hotel I had to walk through groups of drug addicts and past sex shops with someone trying to entice me into their dens of iniquity. Also a lot of shady looking characters in the neighborhood. I felt uncomfortable on the streets. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Dirty, smelled of smoke in the room, in a bad local area
This hotel is in a rundown area of Frankfurt; also an area with a lot of strip clubs and bars. The hotel room smelled of smoke with no air conditioning. Upon checkout, the woman insisted I did not pay and I had to call Expedia to straighten this out.
