Cant wait to go back
We had a wonderful stay at a most convenient located hotel. We have stayed there before and we were just as satisfied. Beds are very comfortable and the amenities are very nice.
Only the best restaurants in the world. One good one is on the same street, La Grenoille, a 5 star restaurant but make your plans in advance unless the concierge has some pull.

A great place to stay
This location is great for midtown Manhattan. You are close to MoMA, the Today show, great shopping on Fifth Ave., Central Park, Times Square, and its easy to catch the subway or a taxi if you want to go Soho, etc. The staff is very friendly.
"Wicked" is great! It is worth seeing again.

Loved it before but not anymore
We have stayed at this hotel twice before and really liked it. On this visit however, the room was much smaller (much too small) and the television was only 19". We did not have enough room to enjoy room service. We tried to eat in the restaurant. We were seated by the window in the lounge area and assured we would receive full service. We literally waited 15 minutes and were never acknowledged by the waitstaff in any manner. We got up to leave and still no acknowledgement. The restaurant had very few people and was not at all busy. When we complained to the front desk, nothing was done about the situation. We were told to check with the concierge desk for a restaurant recommendation. Definitely not the service we are used to or the service expected from a hotel of this caliber.

Great Hotel
This was our first trip to New York. The Omni Berkshire Place was in the center of everything. The staff was freindly and our room was very well kept. I would stay here again the next time.

georgia to new york
I had signed up to be a select guest member months before our trip, the Omni did not know I was a select guest until I called the next day and told them. Another couple traveled with us to New York and also stayed at the Omni Birkshire, they had a much bigger room and was not a select guest.
Traveler's tip on dining
The best place I have ever eaten was at Benjamins steak house, it was a bit pricey but worth every penny.

Wonderful accommodations
The Omni was perfect for our weekend in NY. It is within walking distance to Times Square, shopping, restaurants, etc. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and provided great service.

A little pricey for the space, but it is NYC
Excellent experience. The hotel was very nice and perfect location for my business trip. The suite was a little pricey for the amount of space.

Three Ring Circus
I live in New York and have had a great experience at Omni hotels around the country in the past, so when I needed to book a room for a few friends to crash in, I thought the Omni would be perfect. We booked a room with two double beds, made a special note that wed need two beds in the reservation information and even called ahead to ensure that wed be able to get a room with two doubles. (I realize they cant guarantee room type, so we tried to make a good effort to explain why we needed what we asked for--what we PAID for.) We were assured we would be taken care of. Until check-in. At that point we were curtly told we were getting a room with one king bed and that was that. We were offered a cot, which we had no choice but to take. When we got back to the hotel after our event later that evening, the lobby was a three ring circus. On our room, we could hear word for word conversations in the room next to us. And to top it off my friend who slept in the cot had a series of bites on her leg the next morning. Next time, Im using the money I spent on the hotel room to buy a few aerobeds for my apartment.

Great Location!
You are in easy walking distance to all the great shopping on 5th & Madison. Restaurant/bar in the hotel was very good for lunch.

Exceptional Service
As my first time staying in the City, I must say the service was exceptional. Everyone was polite and response was immediate. Bell service and Valet are to be commended, as they made my first and last impression of this hotel--exceptional.

Bad service, good location
I would recommend this hotel only for the location. Clean room, but a really rude and bad staff (reception and concierge).

awesome location
This was my childrens first trip to NYC and Im so glad I picked this hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was unbelievable. Walking distance to St. Patricks, Saks, Rockerfeller Center and everything on 5th Ave. We only had to take the subway to Central Park.
Bring comfotable shoes!

Loved the Omni Berkshire!!
My husband & I stayed at the Omni for our first trip to NYC. We were totally pleased and impressed with the hotel and staff. The room was great and the bed and pillows were awesome. We were totally comfortable there. The location was perfect for us for the things we wanted to see and do. Would stay here again!!!!

Very good experience
Very nice hotel. Just a few blocks from the subway, and pretty close to everything else. The front desk staff were friendly, the concierge staff had some great suggestions for dinning, bell staff arranged for cars...etc. These folks just did it right. Room was clean, and seemed like a good value for NYC.

Other than the concierge service was fine
The room was wonderful except the view was terrible. The concierge was HORRIFIC. We asked them to arrange transportation to the airport for us, to a restaurant. She (woman with irish accent) couldnt do it; we had to get a taxi. Well, the doorman was able to do it for us!! What should make a luxury hotel a luxury hotel is service, not just the room. Personally, well be staying at The Plaza next go round.

Cant wait to go back
I was very impressed, the staff was great and made me, my mom, and my sister feel as if we were at home. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is close to 5th avenue and it was not expensive to get a cab from the airport to the hotel. I loved this hotel and look forward to going again next year.

Great location and service
Omni Berkshire was a good choice -- location is close to many sites and it was easy to walk or take the MTA everywhere. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely sign up for the preferred guest program ahead of your stay because the delivered morning beverages and paper is worth it. Room location on the third floor was rather noisy at night but expected for midtown Manhattan.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Definitely walk the Brooklyn Bridge (a highlight) and eat pizza at Grimaldis in Brooklyn if you dont mind waiting in line for good NY pizza. Also, the Brooklyn Diner -- in Midtown -- is great for breakfast.

Great stay
My family and I visited NYC for the weekend. We typically stay at the Four Season, but decided to give the Omni a try. Booked a Madison Suite, but they upgraded us a level upon arrival. Room was super comfortable. The staff was efficient and courteous. Location was great. All in all a very pleasant stay. Special thanks to the waiters at the Fireside restaurant on Saturday morning....they could not have been nicer to our kids.

Nice Med Sized Hotel - Close to Lots, But not too Close
This hotel was within easy walking distance, even for our youngest 10, to Times Square, Central Park and Wicked. Nice hotel, very comfortable overall. The couch foldout into a bed was not at all comfortable for the kids. We saw some roll aways in the hall that look much more comfortable. I have stayed in many of the larger hotels in Times Square and Central Park South and this was smaller and more intimate. The rooms was nice and clean. Staff very helpful.
Traveler's tip on shopping
On Sunday the entire block in front of the hotel was closed for street market. Kinda fun to shop and good food.

Would stay at this hotel again
From the time I arrived to the time we left my wife and I enjoyed our stay. From the front desk clerk to the bell man to house cleaning everyone was very helpful and went out of there way to make us feel at home. I would definetly recommend this hotel to anyone and on my return trips the Omni will be the first hotel I will look at.

The hotels location was perfect for us. Close to the shopping district, entertainment, restruants, and sight seeing.
