Great Service, Great Location
The staff and service at the Durham Marriott was exceptional. We were there for 10 days and from the beginning we were treated as if we were guests in their home. Everything we needed was within walking distance, or we were able to take a hotel shuttle for longer destinations. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
Traveler's tip
There is only one PC in the business center, so I suggest off-hours if you need to use this service. It is, however, free, which was a refreshing change from other hotal business centers I’ve used. For a good local sports bar, go to Devine’s. It is within walking distance and is open late.

Very Pleasant Stay
I was in Durham on business and this hotel was 1/3 of a mile from both of my clients. I couldn’t have asked for a more convenient location or better hotel. The only negative is this hotel does not have it’s own indoor pool if you are looking for one. They send you over to the YMCA down the street. The bar was great and the food was good as well. The breakfast buffet,...DO NOT get the pancakes! Hahah those were horrible but the rest of the breakfast was good as well. Great service, friendly faces everywhere. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again - no brainer

Not Quite Up to Standards
A well appointed, attractive hotel. Love the wide-screen TV! A few annoying details; broken "chain" lock on door, slow draining tub, key-card failure requiring late-night return to front desk. But friendly and helpful staff, in spite of breakfast ordering screw-up resulting in a 75 minute breakfast!
