Great location--too bad about the staff
The newly renovated Hyatt in Melbourne is in a perfect location in the CBD, spanking new and close to everything. But my twin room was small, and the staff were consistently surly. It took 2 hours and 4 phone calls to get the luggage upstairs. (We took two rooms.) The bellboy asked me to move the car so "my luggage would be closer", even though we had hurriedly dumped everything on the pavement as there was a queue. And they tell you very nicely as you leave that your $200 credit card room deposit will be returned within SEVEN business days after your departure. Can’t they just check the room to see if you took the sheets. It’s the bank’s fault they said. The gym was the silver lining--great gym and super friendly staff. Maybe they should move them downstairs.

Convenient Location and Excellent Facilities.
I enjoyed the two days that I stayed in this hotel. The excersizing facility is the best that I have expeienced in all hotels that I had used. The location is in heart of the city that is close to all that you ask for. The staff are very friendly.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
The recreational facilty in this hotel diversified. All you dreams about recreation will come true. Sauna, swimming pool, equipments ara all available in more than duplicates so that you do not have to waitfor the next available equipment.

Superior service
The Grand Hyatt Melbourne is in a perfect location for catching the tram or trains. The staff was wonderful, especially the Concierge group. They went above and beyond. The hotel lobbies were under construction while we were there. However, it was not inconvenient at all. Things were running as smoothly as we expected from a Hyatt property.
