Good Value-good location
The Baymont in Topeka was a very good value. I was very impressed with how clean it was. The bathroom was large for this type of property (I think we had a handicapped bath) and it had the sink outside the bath/shower/toilet area that made it easier for two people to get ready. The towels were nicer than some more expensive hotels I have stayed at. There was a good size refrigerator in the room and I think a coffeemaker also. It was just off the main street and was very quiet. Parking was ample and close to the room. There are a variety of restaurants right across the street. They offer a continental breakfast-I just had coffee but they had cereals, muffins, bagels and fruit. It looked like the breakfast area was very clean and well maintained. It is also across the main street from the large shopping mall. Didn’t see the pool area. The front desk people were very nice and helpful. I like being greeted and most of all-when I give someone my money I like them to be nice to me. Overall a very nice hotel and would recommend.

Fair, could use some improvement
Stayed for a 3-day visit. Lobby and breakfast area look refurbished recently, could use some freshening of the rest of hotel. Breakfast was coffee, juice, cereal, some fruit, DIY waffles. Typical in-room A/C - loud, droning, makes the room 65 or 85F. Door cards worked intermittently even after getting clerk to remagnetize them (req’d for ice machine access too). Quiet area, but seemed to be an off weekend, few guests. Have seen better in this price range.
