Tiny room and Indifferent Service

The hotel is located about 15 minutes by bus from the airport. The bus is not designed for airport travelers; you have to climb 5 very steep stairs (with luggage) to get on the bus. Once on, there is no place to put the baggage. The front desk clerk was unfriendly but efficient. The room is tiny...more like a jail cell. There is no soap in the shower---only a squeegee with some kind of gel for shower and shampoo combined. There is no coffee maker in the room. Meals in the restaurant are outrageously expensive. The bed was OK. I slept fairly well. I will never return.

Mercure Hotel Frankfurt Airport

Hotel very clean, functional, great hotel for the price. Not a ’grand hotel’, but good buy in convenient location. Airport transportation,reasonable internet charge,nice front desk. The one thing that I would change was the bed cover. We were there in September and we could either use the down cover or none. It was too hot for down and too cold for none. So, my suggestion would be a light weight option on cover. We did go to the airport to eat as it is an easy commute. I would stay there again, but I’d have to figure out the cover situation.

A pretty good place to stay and near FRA

Quiet too, not much plane noise.

Hideaway in Kelsterbach

This hotel is just minutes away from the Frankfurt Airport with free bus service back and forth on the half hour. There could be more towels in the bathroom.

Good hotel

Nice hotel. Nice pool area, but small fitness room with very little equipment. Food is very good but over priced like all hotels. Shuttle from airport is every 30 minutes, but only services terminal 1 (Halls A&B). You need to take the airport transfer bus to get to the other terminal (Halls C&D - international).

We come back every year

This hotel is comfortable and has just a couple of years been renovated and upgraded from a Novotel to Mercure Grade hotel. We have not been disappointed. Shuttle to Frankfurt airport available every half hour. Very good Restaurant in Hotel.

Excellent service and staff

This was a great hotel and best of all great staff. My family had special requests which were not only accomodated but with constant follow up from the hotel. This is a great choice for a good rooms with a dedication to service.

Hotel facilities and services are good. But shuttle bus to airport not convinient during after noon.( every one hour interval)

Good value for the price of an airport hotel

Stayed at the hotel prior to boarding a morning flight. Good service, nice rooms and fair price. Shuttle service was very good.

Never Again

This hotel does not rate 4 stars in our experience. The restraunt was closed, the air conditioning was broken, and we had to go to the front desk for towels, where they had never heard of a washcloth. When we had dinner in the bar, the wait staff was condescending, the food average and the price high. This hotel is located in an industrial area with no other restraunts or attractions within walking distance. We went to the airport 6 hours early as not to stay a minute longer than we had to.

Nice stop

Nice location, very convenient to the airport and train station. Hotel personnel were great, front desk people especially helpful. Room nice and especially quiet. Restaurant provided good food but was expensive.

Great stop for catching an early plane out of the Frankfurt Airport.

This was a more than adequate hotel for arriving very late at night and leaving very early in the morning from the Frankfurt Airport. My only complaint was the sheet/comforter did not fit the queen size bed that we had. There was another comforter in the dresser drawer, but it was a winter weight, and even with the AC turned low, it was too warm. The breakfast buffet for the two of us was over $40.00 US. That is way too much. There was not the option of ala carte. I think they should offer that option to traveler, or increase the price slightly and include breakfast free. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, but not for over $40.00 for two.

average airport hotel

This hotel was ok. The food in the restaurant was very expensive, and there are no alternative restaurants close by. The free shuttle was a nice service, and it ran on time. The hotel is maybe a 15 minute drive from the airport. The gentleman behind the counter was a little rude when we tried to break a large bill, and also in regards to our wake up call. I travel a lot for work and leisure and there was nothing special about this hotel - except the gummy bears that were on our pillows.

Stop over en route to another country.

The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. The facilities were very clean and comfortable. Airport shuttle transportation was excellent.

I did not like this Mercure hotel

When I got up in the morning to take a shower to go to a meeting, I noticed that water was not coming from the shower head. The shower flex hose was bent and leaking. I notifed the hotel front desk. They said they would take a note to fix it, no action was taken, I had to go to Frankfurt airport to my meeting.

It was a good short stay

The hotel is good for short stay, free of charge shuttle bus was quite usefull, which runs frequently between hotel & Airport. So, you can go around using Bus & Metro. There is not much to see or facility available near hotel but the Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not included in the Room Tarrif.

Value for money and convenient

The hotel front desk people did their best to satisfy me. They had just installed new flat panel tvs and the tv shut itself off after several minutes. They noted that the software was problematic and that it would be fixed in the next days. They moved me to another room and the tv worked without problems. All in all, convenient and value for the price. Breakfast was very expensive with no alternative to the full buffet.

Nice local restaurants within a 10 - 15 minute walk. The Italian restaurant we visited only accepted cash.

Great hotel

The only reason that I gave a 4 rating to the overall satisfaction of the hotel is because they charge 10 euro to park the car on their property. otherwise everyting was great.

Clean, Friendly, Convenient

This hotel offers a considerable savings over other hotels near the Frankfurt Airport. And the savings does not come at a sacrifice. The bed was exceptionally clean and comfortable (with little packages of gummy bears on both pillows in lieu of chocolates), shampoo and soap for the tub/shower bath combination, internet access in room for 7.95 euros/24 hours, shuttle (although you may have to wait as much as 20 minutes for the 10-minute transfer), and a restaurant and lounge. It’s not particularly convenient for tourism attractions, but if you’re just staying here to catch an early-morning flight, it’s perfect.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Book online. I was at the front desk of a hotel at the Frankfurt Airport. I thought I would get a better rate in person. Not so. Nearly half the price online. While logged on, however, I found the Mercure Airport Hotel, which saved me even more. It cost me 7 euros to log on using T-mobile at the airport so that I could research prices. Of course, you can do this before leaving from home - for nothing.

Nice budget hotel close to the airport

It is a nice and reasonably priced hotel, close to the airport. If you are staying one or two nights and have an early flight or late arrival then this is a great place. There is nothing much to do within walking distance but you can take the hotel shuttle to the airport and the train from the airport to Frankfurt. I stay in Frankfurt if it is a longer trip but here if it is a short business trip

Good value. Had hotel transportation to airport every 20 minutes. In a town and good for walking after long flights. Decent restaurant. Would use again.
