OK plaace to stay if you just need a bed...
The motel is older and kind of run down. We were just passing through and needed a place to stay for 8 hours. Breakfast was ok too (waffles, packaged muffins, juice). If we had been planning to stay for a longer amount of time it would have been disappointing.

Will never go there again
There is mold in the bathroom, the towels are supposed to be white but they are brown or yellow. The pool and hot tub are gross and turned my swim suit from white to yellow. I would never stay there again.

You get what you pay for
I had a great rate for two nights as I had booked weeks out from arrival. The motel is old and tired but my room was clean. It meets HoJo standards, Iron & board, safe, hairdryer, wireless internet, coffee, microwave and small refrigerator. The T.V. had a great selection of cable and local channels. The bed was old and saggy and slid each time that I rolled over. There was only one available outlet and that was bedside. The in room Heat/Cool/Fan was fairly new and worked well. The bathroom was more than dated it was difficult to get enough hot water for a shower, I had to run it at 100% hot with no cold water for a lukewarm shower. The hairdryer outlet was high on the wall and was near the shower - which made me very nervous. There was an old fashioned heat lamp - the type that I havent seen for years. The morning breakfast in the small lobby was good. The front desk was a little difficult to deal with - because of his limited English skills. It was strange is that when I checked in I was handed two room keys but no paper work. My room was pointed out from the desk as being "over there". The room numbers were small and I had to go on a hunt on foot for the room. I enjoyed parking my car in front of the room. It seemed like I was staying in the parking lot of a shopping center - no landscape and industrial feeling. I had wondered if this place is ever inspected by Howard Johnsons as it doesnt match any HoJo that I have ever stayed in.
Traveler's tip on dining
Maddox is down the road and is excellent but does not serve breakfast. There is a diner in Perry/Willard a few miles south on US 89 that serves a great breakfast. Watch for a sign that says "Kathys Diner" - the diner is across the highway from the sign. It now has a new name .."Skyway Diner" or something close to that.
