Built in Tudor fashion in 1882, The Popinjay Hotel is positioned 4 miles off the M74, on the A72 Hamilton - Lanark Road, in the heart of the famous scenic Clyde Valley. It is only twenty minutes from Glasgow and forty from Edinburgh by car, and is set in 8 acres of private grounds with beautiful picturesque gardens reaching to the banks of the famous River Clyde, where the Popinjay enjoys fishing rights. Our 34 bedrooms are a combination of single, double, twin and family rooms and are complete with private facilities, satellite colour TV, radio, direct dial telephone, toiletries, trousepress, hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities, savories and mini bar.
