Not a good experience! just 2 block is the Mena House far mucho better same price!
We opted better for the Mena House for our daily meals and lounges. We will never come back to this hotel and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. Main Restaurant: The service was the worst ever, the staff get mat at you if you do not opt for the buffet either for dinner or breakfast. We ended up leaving with the coffee already in the table because of the rudeness of their staff. Good: Staff service check in, the only one good experience. Room: Upgrade! room with balcony and pyramids view, if they gave an upgrade I do not want to image the other rooms, this one looked like 2-3 stars.

Le Meridien
It was super! Spectacular views of the pyramids. Gave us great advice and helped out on booking all sorts of day trips to see the sights. We really enjoyed this hotel, was fully booked when we arrived but they managed to find us an alternative type of accommodation which actually suited us better, than what we had booked. Best location to stay if doing a short trip to Egypt as you can enjoy the pyramids all the time and not just when you do the tour. We would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Egypt.

Positives and Negatives
The location with a view of the Pyramids was fabulous. The variety of restaurants, choices of food and prices were also great. The lobby, shops and outdoor pool were also fine. The problems were that the hotel corridors where the rooms were werent clean. People left bags of garbage outside their rooms at night and they were still there in the morning. The carpet in the hallways was fraying and needed to be vacuumed. In addition, the hallways werent air conditioned! Our room was fine but the furniture needed to be upgraded. The most unusual part of the hotel stay was that at ten or so in the evening for the three nights we were there, Moslem weddings were going on in the lobby. Very, very loud music with drums goes on for about 40 minutes for each of the two or three couples getting married. Since most of the bars, coffee bars and snack bars are located in the lobby area, it made it next to impossible to have a bite to eat or a night cap.
