Not impressed
There were several things wrong with this room besides not appearing "clean". Toilet did not flush properly. Air conditioner needed cleaning. There was something wrong with shower. When we checked out my husband was given a coupon for a night free. The LaQuinta in Savannah was nicer than the one in Charleston.

Will Not Return
Fortunately we only needed a place to sleep for the night and really only needed one of the two beds in the room. When we arrived, one of the beds looked like it had been made up but then someone from housekeeping decided to catch a nap on it. The hairs in the bathroom sink were a definite turn off and evidence the room had not been given much attention at all in cleaning between users. In general, the room was just plain dirty and run down. It did not live up to the standards of other La Quintas we have stayed at.

Will make it my business to re-book a stay.
Me and my son were looking for an inexpensive stay for our first time in Charleston; we did not expect what we got for our money. The service was great; especially the weekend room keeper and the maintenance dept. The pool was better for us then visiting the sites, and when were ready to sight see the front desk was very helpful in helping us get around. We will surely stay there again. Do let other reviews keep you away, you won’t regret it.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Wal-mart was close by, and so was every eating place for families. All sites were pretty close, or were not hard to get to. Great stay for the money; could not beat it.
