Not that convenient to Manhattan
I really liked the hotel but not if youre going to have fun in Manhattan and isnt driving. I chose to stay at this hotel because I was told it was convenient to Manhattan by the train. What everyone failed to tell me that I would have to wait 10-15 minutes for the hotel shuttle to leave for the airport, then I would have to wait 20 minutes for the 62 bus to leave from the airport to Penn Station(Newark) unless I lucked up and caught it. Once I got to Penn Station, if a train wasnt coming, I had to wait another 20 minutes for the train, not to mention the transfer from one train to another to get to 33rd street near Times Square. IT was a nightmare. If you want to stay in Newark for cheaper, then stay at the Hilton as its right next to the train station. Itll save a lot of money, time, and stress. If you are driving, its $23 a night to park at the Crowne Plaza so consider that but if you are staying in Newark and not planning on visiting Manhattan, then its a good hotel to stay in. If you have to eat in the restaurant inside the hotel, I would suggest only the Quesadillas or the Chicken Wings. Everything else taste like it came out of a box.

Nice weekend stay
Location is difficult to get to, the area is not especially nice. The room was clean, staff helpful and service prompt. Parking was a disaster as there are apparently two version, one for hotel and one for airport/shuttle. I paid for hotel parking but it turned out we parked in the other, so had to pay TWICE. Wireless internet signal was weak on the 9th floor where we were and it was a bit slow. Shuttle service to airport was prompt and drivers friendly. Overall, even with the minuses, I would stay again mostly because I would know what to expect.

Disappointed.
The hotel itself was okay, clean but not up to the standards of other Crown Point hotels. Some of the elevators were either broken or left out of service. The shuttle service was slower than the every 20 minutes advertised. The purpose of the trip was to attend a football game at nearby Giants stadium and I was very disappointed when I was charged $20.00 to check our bags while attending the game. I would never stay at or recommend this hotel to anyone.
