loved the breakfast every day.
The hotel was very conveniently located. Near the airport, restaurants and shopping. Next to the freeway for easy travel to all the attractions. The hotel was very friendly and helpful demonstrating southern hospitality. I would definitely stay there again
The hotel was right off the freeway which made traveling and sightseeing very convient.

Good place
Not as deluxe as Hilton or Sheraton, of course, but pretty clean and comfortable, meeting almost every demand of a business traveler. The front desk is helpful. The only concern is that it is situated near the airport and air force base, so planes fly over occasionally. Anyway, very good hotel.

Not impressed
Television and telephone did not work. No dust ruffle on bed. Looked bad. Had to go through the inconvenience of changing rooms to get working TV and telephone. Took an hour after reporting to correct situation.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
For Charleston, room rate was excellent. Hotel very near great shopping center and North Charleston Coliseum.

Would definitely go back
The room was bigger than I thought. It had a great separate sitting area. The pool area is nice. It is slightly difficult to get to from the interstate and a GPS will not take you there (we got lost). It is very convenient yet far enoug away from downtown Charleston to avoid traffic and overpriced hotels(it took us only 15 minutes to get to the harbor). The full breakfast is great and the managers reception was nice. The only downfall was when we went to checkout the people at the counter were more concerned with ordering their lunch then helping me.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Dont miss Middleton Place (about 15 mins from hotel). We spent 3 hours walking the gardens, took an hour carriage tour, ate the wonderful food at the on site restaurant and even went kayaking for an hour on the Ashley River. Also, the nighttime ghost harbor tour was a different change of pace since everyone has walking ghost tours now.

Good choice for price and location
Staff was friendly. Had stayed here previously but the room, at least the one we stayed in, is beginning to show wear. All in all it was a good choice for the price and location.

Southern Hospitality
The man who made breakfast was fantastic every morning at breakfast - even the morning we arrived at 2 minutes before closing. He was a real representation of southern hospitality. The hotel itself is laid out very sensibly with considerations made to minimize noise and the lay out definitely works well. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in away from home. The two very small downsides: I couldnt get the air conditioner adjusted to a "just right" level and the carpeting had a very odd texture. Clean, but odd. If I was in Charleston again, I would use this hotel and take extra socks to avoid touching the carpet.

The room is worn, bedspreads need to be cleaned, everything tattered.

Nasty!!!
The hotel looks new, but once you get inside the rooms, it is obvious it is older. There was hair all over the bathroom floor(pubic hair), and a request to get the room cleaned only succeeded in getting the trash emptied. The hair remained, and we ended up buying cleaner and cleaning it ourselves. The bathroom also reeked of urine, which probably came from the bad seal around the toilet. I only wondered what was in the room that we could not see. The only consolation was that we got the room for 60.00 on expedia, and I was glad we did not pay more. On a positive note, the pool and hot tub were very nice, as were the desk staff, and the location was great.

Would stay here again!
Very pleased with the staff and service! The made to order breakfast and Managers happy hour were great. Nice location close to beach and downtown. Room was more than we expected and very comfortable.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Sullivans Island is a great beach. Not as crowded as Isle of Palm and closer to hotel.

So So
My initial impression of the hotel was that it was new. However, soon after I started noticing little things here and there that showed the hotel had some age. Like the elevator doors were highly scuffed. I also discovered that there was a large cutout area in the carpet under our bed. The room was fairly clean and comfortable. Everything was going well until I got a knock on the door from maintenance saying that our shower was flooding the room downstairs, so we left for dinner cutting our showers short. The front desk, although are very friendly are not very informative. I called from the interstate at the exit for the hotel for directions. I was place on hold for several minutes, then given directions that took us out of the way to get to the hotel. Also after returning from dinner I asked the front desk if the plumbing problem was fixed and that if it was ok to use the shower. She stated "She didnt know". Well I used the shower and heard nothing else so I guess it was fixed. Another couple in our group said that their room was dirty and the heat was fixed so you could not cut it up/down or off. On the upswing they do have a good hot breakfast every morning with some of the friendliest staff you can meeet. To sumarize, Fairly clean and comfortable, not very informative front desk. Serious maintenace issues, Hot breakfast and friendly staff. I am hesitant recommend. I have stayed in properties that were much worse.

Very nice
We spent 6 nights in Charleston. We chose this hotel for several reasons--proximity to airport and downtown, price, and the breakfast. We were very happy with our selection. Breakfast was fresh, hearty, and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the hot tub was too cold to use.

Room temperature
The front living area had virtually no air circulating through the room. When the air was turned on, the bedroom would freeze. Maintenance tried to adjust both room temperatures but it didnt work. Hotel needs to work on this problem. Otherwise, it is a beautiful hotel and the staff very friendly and responsive; breakfast was outstanding!
Traveler's tip on shopping
Great to have an outlet mall with restaurants across the street.

Small size comfortable hotel
The hot complimentary breakfast was excellent with the invitation to take out food for later in the day. The two room suite added greatly to the comfort, especially for someone travelling with a night owl. The hotel was a little difficult to find, even though located right beside and clearly visible from the I26.
Traveler's tip on dining
I recommend Jestines, a modestly priced eatery, on Meeting St. Excellent Southern style at home type of cooking.

Great Location, Free Shuttle, Free Custom Breakfast
This was my first stay in both Charleston, SC and this Quality Suites and I must say that between the two, it really made the trip worthwhile. The hotel is located directly across the street from a huge outlet mall, the convention center and numerous nice restaurants. The hotel provides an on-demand free shuttle to and from the airport, as well as nearby venues such as the convention center, restaurants, etc. The hotel is in North Charleston and is about a 15 minute shuttle ride from downtown and there is a $15 round-trip fee that applies but its well worth it. During my 2-day trip here, the shuttle saved me about $50 in cab fare. The cooked to order breakfast was great, eggs, waffles, pancakes, etc. The rooms were a bit aged and soon will need refurbished, but the bed was comfortable and was well furnished. Ill return again.
Traveler's tip on shopping
There is a huge year-round market in downtown Charleston which the shuttle will provide round-trip transportation for about $15. Once youre finished with the market, youre in the cultural shopping district filled with unique merchants, restaurants and art studios.

Great Stay
The only problem we had was with check in, where they did not have our reservation. I had to call expedia twice to get the problem rectified, otherwise we had a great stay. Room was comfortable, clean and the hotel is in a great location.

It was just grand...
The bed was VERY comfy. Not the best view or location. I think we spent 45 minutes trying to find the hotel when we could see it from the highway. The breakfast food left a lot to be desired but overall quite nice. The staff was very nice as well. Id recommend it for the money. The only bad part was the location.

Great People
The staff were very friendly. We loved the free breakfeast. It was really nice to come back to the hotel after a long day of sight-seeing and relax with a complementary drink to help us unwind. The room was clean and I slept the best I ever have when staying in a hotel. The pool was really nice and clean also.Had a very nice time at this hotel.
Traveler's tip
Charleston was a larger city than we expected. The only thing I can suggest is to avoid I-26 during rush hour. Our hotel was close to the airport which was nice.

Great room, greaat price
The room was a two room suite. Very nice to have a separate sitting room complete with referigerator, microwave, TV and wet bar seperate from the sleeping room. Sleeping room was quite large and very comfortable. Every evening there was a managers cocktail time with free beer and wine. The included breakfast was made to order or buffet style and was as good as any restaurant and included in the room rate. It was only a 10 minute drive to downtown Charleston. When I go back to Charleston I will stay there again.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
August is not the best time to visit Charleston. It can be quite hot and humid. The harbor cruise is refreshing when there is a breeze as it is cooler out on the water. The airconditioned bus tours are a good way to see the town. However the mansion tours are very hot in the summer as the buildings are not airconditioned, as was their historical condition.
