Got used to it and loved it
Palermo is a strange place. It isnt run down so much as it is old. We didnt realize this at first, so being on a quiet street was somewhat strange, but as we became accustomed to the city, so too did we come to love to area. Just down the street was a trattoria with grills in the middle of the street of the day’s catch. There was singing and dancing and beautiful buildings. The room was pretty small, but it was also pretty cheap. The female concierge was great and very friendly. The service to Mondello was great, but the taxi there was unnecessary as the public bus was easy. It is also close to the train station which made our day trip to Cefalu very easy. That trip is highly recommended. Overall a great trip.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Take a day trip to the beach and town of Cefalu. If you can afford it, spring for the larger room.

Great hotel with stylish rooms and accomodations. Walking distance to most tourist attractions in Palermo. Friendly staff, many fluent in English.

Excellent find
Beautifully done, recently opened hotel in an ideal location in the historic center of the city. Very helpful, charming staff, superb breakfasts, very comfortable rooms with exquisite bedding and large, flat screen TV’s, wireless Internet, etc., etc. I highly recommend it.
