Not at all impressed
This by far was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The room was not clean. Our phone didn’t work. The vending machines were broken and we could not get cold water in our room. We had to move rooms twice because the air conditioner broke. Several messages were left with management and I have yet to receive a response. I will never stay at this hotel or any other in the chain and would never recommend this facility to anyone.

Cheap and great location
The hotel is located right behind the Alamo. Free parking too! We were able to park our car and use public transportation, or walk. The hotel is right off of a major highway, but noise was not a problem for us. The tub was clean but was cracking and looked dirty. The entire bathroom was clean but extremely run down and was in need of a complete remodel.
Traveler's tip
Buy a public transportation pass for $4.00 per day at the visitor information center across from the Alamo. This allows you o ride the trolleys and buses.

Location and price is right
First you have to realize, this is Days Inn not the five star hotel. This is place for travelers not honeymooners. It is very conveniently located. Cross the public parking from Alamo and two blocks from River walk and Convention center. Free parking is included. Rooms are your standard motel version. Not the cleanest, but acceptable. Room cleaning service is slow. But everything in room was in working order. If you keep in your mind what type of the motel you staying in, you may be satisfied.
