Excellent stay
Our hotel room was very clean and the staff was extremly helpful and pleasant. The location was very convenient for us. We will book there again on our next trip to Virginia.

Good Choice near DC
I found this to be a good choice for staying in the Washington DC area without the steep prices charged in the heart of DC. With free parking, it’s good for travelers with cars. It’s on a commercial strip in south Alexandria, so the surroundings are not scenic, but the interior was very nice, particularly the room itself. It was large, well furnished, and had a large free fridge and a microwave. The hotel is near Mt. Vernon. It’s on the Richmond Hwy, Rte 1, which feeds easily into Rte 95 , the interstate heading south. In the other direction, there are places to park your car and jump on the very convenient Metro into downtown DC. For a delicious no-frills meal, try Su Pollo next door - roast chicken Peruvian style.

Nice Motel & close to Mt Vernon Estate
Girlfriend & I were on a Ladies roadtrip and this Best Western Motel is a short drive from George Washington’s Mt Vernon Estate. Hotel staff very helpful, room was clean, a/c unit was very quiet After walking all day we each had a great nights sleep in our own queen size bed, very firm & yet very comfortable. Only complaint about the room was the lighting, they’re using the new eco-bulbs which do not provide good light for reading in any part of the room. Breakfast was good but not impressive....can’t really complain when it’s free. There was a variety, so something there for everyone to start their day with. Would definately stay there again & would encourage friends & family to give it a try if they were in the area.
