Good Bargain in Barcelona!

Conveniently located near Barcelona’s airport...with free shuttle service. Hotel is modern with flat screen TVs. Bathrooms are ultra modern. However, swimming pool is indoors and very small! Bar and restaurant are not cheap and no other services are located near by. Hotel is located on edge of port with alot of truck traffic...but it is quiet during the evening!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Even better, right out the front door of the hotel is a city stop...only cost about $1.75 one-way and only a 30-40 minute ride to the Ramblas! Check with the info booths for information on late nite bus service tho...consider taking the "Aerobus" to the airport then a taxi to the hotel. This is considerably less expensive than a cab from downtown to the hotel (over 30 Euros!)

Not Impressed

The air conditioning was broken, so they opened our windows about two inches...it didn’t help....We were on a corner with traffic lights and listened to the trucks all night long....In the morning we had a bowl of cereal and coffe and toast...we were charged for a full brakfast rather than continental....On a whole, I would not reccommend this hotel.... Looks nice, but...

This hotel was recently renovated, and it shows - nice new furniture, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. However, my stay was not enjoyable for a few reasons: Calling this an airport hotel is a stretch. We called the free shuttle upon arrival, but had to wait 40 minutes for it to arrive, then another 15-20 to get to the hotel. When leaving, the shuttle was running ~10 minutes late - not good when you’re on a schedule to catch a plane. The hotel is located in an industrial area with absolutely nothing nearby, but there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that takes you downtown in about 30 minutes, but only until 11pm. The other issue - my room was close to 30C/86F all night, even when I had the thermostat set for air conditioning. The next morning I complained to the hotel about this and was told that since it was February, there was only heat available and not A/C, so there’s nothing he could do. Unimpressive. If you took this hotel, added decent climate control, and put it somewhere near either the airport or the city, it would be great. But as it stands, I would not recommend it.

Good... but not 4 stars

Van service wasn’t on schedule the three times we used it, but hey, it’s complimentary. I called the front desk to ask for an iron. "Immediately, sir" was the response I received. And I’ll be damned, the iron was delivered to my room in two minutes. I personally wouldn’t go back to this hotel. This is because I needed something close to the airport, and now I know there are closers ones.

Would definitely return!

While this hotel would have be difficult to find without our GPS, we were very pleased with everything else. The rooms are very modern and recently remodeled. The hotel staff was extremely kind and helpful. Free wifi was a huge plus!

not impressed

Hotel service was really terrible. The staff were rude and not very helpful in any aspect. The hotel itself its located in the middle of nowhere. Our last days in Barcelona were very unpleasant due to the awful service and treatment from the whole staff to us; tourist that are suppose to take the best impression possible from this experience.

Not impressed

Not even close to a 4 star. Rooms are small but clean. Pool is tiny and there are no amenities in the hotel and absolutely nothing near by. The restaurant is very expensive but the only option near by. I also had a problem with my reservation that the hotel has been uncooperative in resolving.

Eat before you arrive!

Free shuttle to and from Airport, 15 minute drive. The hotel is in an industrial area with no restraunts, stores,ect. The dining room at the hotel makes no distiction between adult and childerns menues with entreas starting at 23 Euros and the buffet breakfast is 25 euros each.

Good sleep near airport

The room was small, but clean and the staff was helpful. Blackout curtains left the room good and dark even mid-day.

Just OK

Pretty nice place but very far from down towm and the airporte is not too close either. The redeeming fact is there is a bus stop just out the door of the hotel which takes you down town. Dining hours are strange, closed 4:00 to 8:00pm and there is not another place to eat near by. Since this was a stopping place to leaving, it served it’s purpose.

Convenient for short stay . . .

My wife and I had one night in Barcelona. The proximity to the airport and free shuttle service to the airport and city center were very helpful. We were given instructions on what bus to take back to the hotel. The staff were very helpful. We bought a two 10 pass subway/bus tickets that got us everwhere we wanted to go. The breakfast buffet was good, but pricey. If we had more time in Barcelona, we might have picked some place closer to the city center.

Great location for early flights

Great location for getting to the airport (BCN) for early flights with the complimentary van. The only downside is that the hotel is located adjacent to the entrance to the container depot,so there was truck traffic outside 24/7.

Good Airport Hotel

We had an early flight and just needed a hotel close to the airport. Hotel clerk was courteous. Free shuttle serivce was helpful. Restaurant in the hotel was nice and stayed open late. Overall, it was a very good experience.

The number 21 bus is very cheap for a trip into the city centre but take a taxi back to the hotel.

Nothing

This hotel was in the middle of nowhere. The internet and other amenities were not functioning. The in hotel restaruant was expensive and low quality. There is not any other restaraunts or shoppping remotly close to hotel.
