Nice place to stay

Friendly and quick check in. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. However, room was right next to highway and sliding glass door to balcony was not sealed well for noise reduction. Also, the bottom of my room door had a 2-inch gap from the floor. So, you could hear every little noise of whoever walked by your room. Might as well had the door all the way open. If they could just put in properly sealed doors, i would have no complaints at all.

Very Nice

Very nice hotel and very quiet on the side we were sleeping. We had a conference there and it worked out very well.

This hotel was ok. The staff were very friendly! My wife wanted to switch rooms and it was no problem. We wanted to be on top floor. Cool little bar/club inside of hotel which is nice. Awesome steakhouse across street called Hungry Hunter Steakhouse. IT’s DELICIOUS! Hotel is right off the highway 99, so makes traveling easy. We went in the summer when outside was over 105 all week. Inside our room the thermostat was set to 62 and it worked great!

Convenient

Very nice place to stay - centrally located. Lots of resteraunts nearby and close to major freeways.

Everyone made us feel comfortable. We hung out in the lounge for a bit and the bar maid was helpful with what was near the hotel as well as what the hotel had. Great person.

Impressed!

Was doubtful, didn’t want to be that close to a main highway. But from the Desk Clerk to checking out we were impressed and felt special. We were there for 6 days, the food was great as was the service! Yes we would stay there again, Thanks to all the Doubletree staff!!

Not bad for Bakersfield

While the hotel felt a bit outdated (and we had a few cobwebs and broken items in our room) - it wasn’t bad for Bakersfield. Let me tell you, you can stay in some pretty scary places in that town. Overall, the people were friendly, the beds were comfortable, the free cookies were yummy and the check-in and check-out were seamless. We’d stay again.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

We were greeted by 2 males lying on the ground outside an entry door. The room was DIRTY, dirt and black grime on the tile in the bathroom. The vent in the bathroom was painted shut. The maid set the alarm to alert at 6:30 A.M., nice touch so she could clean early. The Starbuck’s kiosk is a joke, coffee, no fruit or selecttion of breakfast items. We have stayed here numersous time since the inception of the hotel, NEVER AGAIN. If you tired you couldn’t make this much worse. The cocktail lounge is so rough they have security guards outside in the hotel lobby. They removed the

Beautiful Wedding

The maid didn’t come to our room to make up the room for the second night so my kids help me make beds and ask for supplies that we had run out of. But other than that It was a Beautiful Wedding that they had there.

Facility needs to be updated.

Queen size bed mattresses were comfortable. Overall hotel could use some updating. ie carpet & entry-ways.

Decent Hotel

We stayed there for a night before we head over to the Kern River. The lobby was nice and quiet, people were friendly, which should be expected since it is one of the priciest place to stay in Bakersfield. The room condition was average, probably needs an upgrade compare to some of the other hotels I have stayed for the same price. Good place to stay for a few nights on a business trip, not too much a leisure type of hotel.

Comfortable hotel.

Good place to stay while you’re visiting Bakersfield. Front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. If you paid in advance and prefer Express Checkout then make sure to call front desk (they did not mention that while we checked in !).

Very nice hotel in Bakersfield

I liked this hotel. We stayed in a roomy double queen room. The room was quite nice, very clean, quiet and comfortable. I guess they were trying to save energy because the room was quite hot when we checked in, but cooled of quickly enough. The layout of the hotel is a little confusing, and the elevators are few and far (really far) between. There were several entrances convenient to the different sections of the hotel. It would’ve been great if there were elevators there also. This hotel was easy to find, and its fairly easy to navigate to other locations. This hotel loses points for me because there is no free WiFi and because we were locked out of both rooms on our last night of our stay and had to walk down the stairs (because the elevators were so far) to get the key cards reactivated. Other than that our stay was pleasant.

Really nice

Considering it is right on the interstate, I did not hear the freeway at all. Curtins made the room very dark, I didnt even realize it was a Bright beautiful sunny day, until I opened them. TOO bad I couldnt sleep in...bed was VERY SOFT and comfy. Only let down was no continental breakfast and 10.00 for the internet.

Not Impressed

Air conditioning in room did not work, no offer to change rooms, no offer to discount or comp anything; room was particularly dusty. Not a very pleasant weekend.

Very Nice

The hotel was sold out and you would have never known it. Very quiet and the beds were AMAZINGLY comfortable. Will definitely stay there again if in town.

This is a large hotel so be prepared to walk to get anywhere in the hotel. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable and the pool & hot tub were enjoyable.

Good Rest Stop

I wouldn’t consider this hotel to be a destination hotel however it is very adequate as a rest stop for the traveler.

Wonderful hotel

The hotel staff was very friendly while checking in. Received warm chocolate chip cookies. Checking out was easy, also. Room was very clean and beds were SO comfortable! We ordered room service for breakfast which was a lot of food for a great price. Very delicious! Nice, clean pool and work-out room. Went to a Bakersfield Blaze Baseball game and can’t wait to go back to both!

We walked to the shopping center next door and went to John’s Incredible Pizza. They have a buffet with pizza, pasta, salad and desserts and a huge arcade/game room with racing cars and bumper cars plus lots of fun arcade games. Very fun...spent quite a few hours there!

Nice hotel

The hotel was nice. The beds were very comfortable, nice down blankets and loads of pillows. The Sunday brunch at the cafe was very good.
