Good hotel for a 1 or 2 night stay

Very nice location: right in the Cauncun shopping and clubs area. It was a perfect hotel for our stay since we planned to visit different places during our 2 night stay.

Extremely Average, in the center of it all

I went on the off season, and picked this hotel as a last-minute decision to spend a night in Cancun as opposed to a hostel that was run down and far from anything. Most people in the "Hotel Zone" stay in nice resort/hotels. On that scale, this would be considered to be a very crappy one of those. On the other hand, it is a very nice hotel. The room was a basic two beds and a bathroom. Everything was clean, orderly, and functioning. There was a nice pool, friendly people, hammocks to be lazy on. Basically, the deal is that this is a cheapish hotel in an area surrounded by very expensive resorts. It is around the block from the center of insanity and licentiousness that is Cancun, so if that’s what you want, and you want to do it cheap: this works.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

This is about as close as you can get to being in the center of it all.

Love This Place!

This hotel is not considered a high class hotel in Mexico but I enjoy staying here. They do in excellent job of keeping the entire place clean. If you want a relaxing quiet vacation, this is the place for you! It is set right in the middle of the hotel zone, so you are near everyting thing, but far enough away to not hear the noise all night long. I’m not a big fan on crowds of people so I love coming hear and being able to relax. The rooms are clean and neat and every bit as nice as the hotels in the States. Don’t skip over this one just because of the rating. Come and see and you won’t be dissapointed!

Average hotel but good location

We chose this hotel because of location. We opted for kitchenette unit but were disappointed that there were no dishes, utensils, etc and refrig was dorm size - no freezer space for ice. Pool and hotel restaurant were nice.

Beautiful Grounds and Quiet

The room was comfortable. The grounds well kept. I made arrangements through the motel for transportation from the airport, which worked out well.

Traveler's tip

Everyone was trying to sell you a timeshare. Even someone in the main lobby made sure they took their turn. Learn to say no fast, the trips and gifts they ptomise, aren’t always as promised.

So relaxing!

Best location in Cancun, next to real fun mexican restaurant and various bars and discos, but far enough to feel totally relaxed by the lovely pool! Nice staff, bu don’t leave any valuables in your room. Cosy and small, the hotel feels like a little village. has tennis and laundry room.

Cancun Trip #8

I’ve been to Cancun 8 times and stayed at Clipper Club the last 3. Great atmosphere and very professional and sincere staff.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

Be sure to stop in at Carlos and Charlie’s. It has the best nightlife in all of Cancun!

Great hotel, great location, great price

went for memorial weekend and its literally right in the middle of all the crazy clubs of cancun. if your not into the clubs... then why are you going? haha, no but if your not into that then its far enough away that it shouldnt wake you up... i dont think. coco bongos, the city, dadyos and the like are all less than a 5 min walk. awesome pick. and go see chichen itza! theres tour people all over and its worth the trip

Traveler's tip on nightlife

coco bongos is the most amazing, wild, crazy, and insane club even invented. it puts vegas to shame. 60 bucks to get in on the weeknds or 40 on the weekdays. its worth every penny and more

Not bad, but not great

In a town with almost no budget options, this was acceptable.

What an experience

I think I would rather skip eating and stay in a place a little more expensive than this. We stayed here at the end of our stay in Cancun before flying out. The grounds looked nice so we thought it was okay.... WRONG. The rooms were old and broken. Broken plumbing, windows and sticky candy on the tile floors. The beds were smelly and dirty. Not one I want to repeat again. Pay more and stay clean. Glad it was at the end of a glorious week of fun and sun.

If your not picky

We were not picky about the place we stayed and this hotel fine for us. If your use to 4-5 star hotels you would not be sastified. It was clean, staff was nice, had no bugs and everything worked although the beds were pretty hard. It was basic. Like others say the location is perfect, less than a 5 minute walk to the beach, shopping and places to eat. A 5 foot croc was seen on the rocks right in front of the hotel everyday.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Breakfast at the hotel was cheap and good. A four egg omelet with four ingrediants was 55 pesos($5)

Good hotel if you are looking for a cheap alternative, and its very close to all the good discos and bars. It does not have access to the beach though.

Decent for the money

Hotel has a great location- walking distance to plazas(malls), restaurants. I did not like the strong unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Otherwise, the room was clean and quiet. Good choice for budget concious traveller.

Pretty good for the price

Not a bad place to stay. Definitely not a luxury hotel, but you should already be able to guess that from the price. Room was clean and air conditioning worked well. No direct access to the beach but just a short walk. Staff was very helpful with directions and ideas of places to go. If your stay includes a Sunday night, beware of the "free" cocktail hour. The margaritas are free but the skimpy buffet is not. Our friend’s were charged 15 dollars per person for having a few chips and guacamole! If you’re going to be out all day and just need a safe place to keep your things and sleep at night, this is a good place to stay.
