Best deal on the beach!!!

This is a small unassuming motel of which you would not expect the quality of choice you receive. The motel has a heated pool or step 20 feet away from the building and bury you feet in the soft white sands before swimming in the Gulf. All of the rooms face the water; most have a full kitchenette and have daily housekeeping services. All of the staff was friendly and enjoyable to chat with. The rooms are priced quite nicely (i.e.. low) considering you are right on the beach. Also, numerous tourist attractions and every type of restaurant you could want are within a short distance. You can take a walk on the beach in the morning or at night after watching the sunset from the deck of the private pool. The motel also offers a brick fire pit to grill your own food outside. I would highly recommend the "Amish" homemade ice cream place just down the road from the motel. For price, convenience, relaxation, and numerous attractions, you cannot beat this motel. I will certainly be staying there each time I visit the area.

There is so much to do in this area that it is strictly a vacationer’s preference. Fort DeSoto and North Beach (America’s # 1 ranked beach) as well as St. Pete Beach to the south.; Clearwater Beach to the north, The Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo, John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk a mile south of the motel (with Dolphin watching, parasailing, Casino Cruise, gift shops, restaurants, scuba and boating adventures), the little communities north of the motel with a great selection of dining or cross the bay to visit Tampa. There is just so much available to do in this area, but yet it is also peaceful and quiet. Of course, why would you even want to leave the motel when you have a heated pool, private sundeck, the sand, and the Gulf of Mexico within steps of your room? I stumbled upon a homemade ice cream shop just north of the motel just before the Tom Stuart Causeway that served up some of best "Amish Country" ice cream and treats that you could ever want.

Cheap Room On the Beach

This is a small, older motel with no frills. There was a ’fridge in the room, but no coffeemaker or hair dryer. The office is only open from 8a to 8p, and there is no room service. The parking is limited to one car per room. However, I was steps away from the very nice pool and deck, and the beach. They have a grill available for use, and picnic tables. I was there during a slow period, so the place was only about half full, and I only had one or two others to share the deck/pool with both days. for my purpose of getting away for a few days, it was perfect. I would go back again.
