Old, rundown, noisy, uncomfortable beds, rough neighborhood
Tricky to get to. Close by several loud bars and crime scene tape abounded outside. Grandson killed 2 ants on the floor and the beds were hard as slabs. Between the all night noisy bar outside and after hours fights with police being called to them and hard beds, sleep did not happen. The only benefit is its close to the "garden" but all other factors (plus the $36 parking surcharge) were not worth the location.

Horrible Hotel
were traveling with 5 and 9 years old. Let me try to put it as simple as possible. 1. No one to help you with the luggages (they will borrow you the trolley though - if you ask them). no matter what the weather, still they wont help you. 2. the air conditioner (ac) was broken while our staying. we filed a complain, and they didnt do anything about it. Not a single sorry statement or compensation for that. Not too satisfying customer service. 3. if you bring car, forget it. the public parking building is a long walks from the hotel, and expensive too (be sure to get the stamp from the hotel, unless you end up paying USD 78 per night instead of USD 50). 4. the room is smaller than it looks at the picture (believe me, pictures look much much better !!!). they tried to make the room more modern, still you can sense the old quality of the room. 6. the elevator was an old one too. 7. not a good location. if youre traveling with children, find alternatives !!

I love the free breakfast at the hotel! also, the hotel was at walking distance to many touristic places such as quincy market.

Great location, minor issues with our stay
This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to just about all the bars and restaurants in the area which made it perfect for our stay. We went on the Spirit of Boston cruise and asked the receptionist to call a cab for us. He was very friendly and the cab was waiting for us when we got down to the lobby. However, upon check in, the receptionist asked for my credit card. She then asked me to sign for it. I didnt think this was unusual. We were also told that the air conditioner wasnt working, it was not extremely warm that day so it didnt bother us, however it might have been a problem if it was a hot summer day. When leaving I took another look at what I had signed at check in. I realized not only had expedia charged me, but the hotel charged me as well. I brought this to the attention of the receptionist, and after about 10 minutes of confusion, the problem was resolved. I was only charged once. Overall, it was a good experience.

Do not visit this hotel customer service and maintenance are terrible!!!
We stayed one night at this hotel in downtown Boston when the air conditioning was broken and it was 90 degrees that day! The air conditioning unit blew hot air and would not turn off. I see another guest had the same problem two weeks beforehand, so they did not work on getting that fixed in a timely manner. The front desk said that they would give us a discount for the stay that one night however lied to us and did not give any discount. They refuse to credit back our credit card for the terrible service they provided and hotel room was unbearable that night because of the heat. Also front desk agent both day and night seem to have a problem doing their job and were constantly on the phone with personal calls. They would not end their calls when guests were waiting to ask questions or check in or out. Do not like being lied to and poor customer service!

BEWARE!!!
At first glance we thought it was nice, (what we were expecting)... then we soon found out we were in ----. It happened to be 90+ in boston & we discovered that our room had no a/c, in fact, it had heat blowing out of the vent & there was no way to shut it off (something to do with their system). So after very little sleep we found a razor & personal bottles in the shower. My daughter thought it was mine, I thought it was hers...they were someone elses. On my way downstairs to talk w/mangmt & get soap as they forgot to put any in our room, I found a maid. I asked her for some soap and she said quote, "NO SPEAK ENGLISH" in what I found to be a rude tone. I did end up speaking w/mangmt in which they said their sorrys & gave me a 10 percent discount. Bottom line...We could have slept more comfortably on a bench, been just as clean & saved money. Apparently their "GUARANTY" means nothing. We travel alot & I do have to say that this is the very first time that I ever had to write a negative about a hotel. Many other area hotels to choose from.

Very Impressed
The only problems we had was finding the hotel...It was perfect once we got there. Our room was awesome and perfect walking distance to the TD Banknorth "The Garden". Also there is no parking on the street of the hotel you have to drive to the parking gargage which was alittle out of the way but it wasnt a problem. The hotel staff were very helpful.

We will be back
Location, Location, Location. We walked everywhere with a little one and a stroller, the T was across the street, but we didnt need it. Breakfast was convenient. Everything was very nice, and we will return.

Excellent Value
The hotel is one I stayed in before it became a Holiday In Express. The imprvomenst and uprgrades were great and the price was less tha I paid 4 years ago. Higlhly recommend for a sporting trip -- next to the Garder -- or a budget buisiness trip -- close to downtown.
Traveler's tip for business travelers
Next door to both the stae and federal courthouses
