Defintely not a Four Star Hotel /Five Star Hotel
Upon arrival, the desk clerk was arrogant. When we got to our room, the room was extremely hot. I was told to dial #9, and ask that the air-conditioner be turned on. After waiting a short time, there was no cool air. I called again and this time I was told there was no a/c available till June. I immediately went to the front desk and they changed our room to a room off the courtyard where a/c was available. Both rooms were similar, and extremely small along with the shower. It was not worth the $$. One desk clerk was not at all helpful with directions.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Bus # 62 can get you to the Vatican and Plaza Navonne. You can walk to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The Coliseum is not within walking distance. Only accessible by bus.

Would stay again and again
This hotel was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful and you just cannot beat the location. Walk to everything but Saint Peter’s. The rooms were small, but neat and tidy. Beds were very comfortable. Water pressure great in the shower. Enjoy Rome and your stay!
Traveler's tip on dining
Try the restaurant called Gioia Mia real close by. Go right outside the front door, cross the busy street and go straight/slight left. First right hand little side road it is the second restaurant. Local little place with excellent food and prices. The secret to enjoying Rome is to get up early.

Excellent Location and Friendly Service
Hotel White has an excellent location! 1.5 blocks from Fontana di Trevi and next to all kinds of restaurants. Our only complaint would be the shower was extremely uncomfortable and almost a bit dangerous and the pillows were horrible. We were very satisfied with the service (reception desk staff and breakfast waiters were friendly and willing to service).
