A palace
This hotel is gorgeous, a real palace. Rooms are beautiful, very comfortable, service is great. It’s expensive, but worth it to feel like a prince/princess for some days! You do need a car to get to Sintra and the palaces from this hotel. And I wish there had been free wifi - I didn’t ask, but the only available network wanted to charge 9euro/hour. Anyway- overall, a beautiful and excellent hotel.

Palacio de Seteais-the five star i didn’t know i needed
Short and sweet: beatiful views, excellent service, good location, fantastic food. As a single traveler on vacation it exceeded all my expectations being very convenient by foot to Sintra, and by car to the surrounding areas of Lisboa, Estoril, Cascais and the coastal regions. I think my favorite feature was the fantastic buffet breakfast including top notch deli, bread, cheese and cerials.

If you want to party, head to Lisboa on the first night-you will never want to leave.
