Exotic retreat on the Bay
I couldn’t believe how gorgeous this hotel was once we arrived. It is one block from Mission Beach and right on Mission Bay! The birds, trees and water everywhere make it seem like an exotic getaway but then you step off the resort and you are right in the middle of all of the shops and restaurants! The staff at the front desk were always willing to help us out and accomodate plus give suggestions on where to eat. They also have a free concierge service to check your bags in if your flight gets in before check-in or after check-out. The room we had what practically a suite and the view was of the beach and the skyline north. So beautiful. The only thing I regret is not staying longer than we did. Nothing bad to say here and I am a very critical person.
Use the Towncar service to get there instead of a cab. The cab driver from the airport obviously was taking advantage of us because we were told it would be about a $20 or $25 ride but once we arrived the fare was $33! and the right itself was terrifying! This guy had at least 3 near-misses for car accidents. We took a Towncar to the airport upon the concierge’s recommendation and it was the best decision we made the whole trip. The driver was friendly and gave us tour information and historical information as well.

nice hotel, good for kids and adults, great hot tub, game room was free for part of stay - now you have to pay ;-(

No problems at all. Very accommodating and friendly service. Close to beach and beach restaurants etc.
