Pepper Tree Inn - not impressed
The Pepper Tree Inn is located on the main street in Tahoe City which is a convenient location. There is no AC but if you open both windows and it’s cool enough you can get a cross breeze along with all the street noises. The room is very small. Our dirty glasses were not switched out on the 2nd day. We were told there was no one to help us with a clogged toilet and that we’d have to do it ourselves. As I was crossing the parking lot with a plunger, a man asked if he could help me and I told him yes but was told no one could help. He told me the lady in the office was to do it and he’d be happy to help, he was the manager. We’re not going back there.

we loved this spot!
This convenientally located motel was very comfortable, excellent service, beautiful views of Lake Tahoe and across the street from an restaurant with organic food! We would definitely go back. Only drawback is no air-conditioning.
Traveler's tip
Walk down on path next to lake. Drive to Emerald Bay and hike down to lake for swimming and to see historic house with tours.

Great Value
Stayed 2 nights and the room was very comfortable and clean, our room was on the 6th floor and provided a great view of the lake. Especially liked that there were lots of shops and places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. Super value for the area!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Gotta visit the Fat Cat Cafe across the street from the hotel after a bike ride on the local bike trail that follows the lake shore!
