Great resort

Excellent beaches, including clothing optional, great snorkeling. Food is old English style, a little bit too fat and salty for me, but good overall. Service is OK, but sometimes with Caribbean timing (20 minutes means 50 etc.). Staying in cottage facing the sea was great. A lot of space for walks. No TV in rooms, that’s great! Wifi in the dining area.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

There isn’t much to see outside of the resort.

Excellent stay

We had a wonderful stay July 2009. Accomodations and meals were quite satisfactory, but what sets this property apart from others is its beaches and the amount of beachfront (which is the reason we are here anyway!) Being a "Caribbean Junkie" I can say with confidence that this resort has more beachfront per guest than any other, which for us is what our vacation is all about. The staff was very warm and accomodating. All part time pirates and beach bums would be pleased with this Caribbean experience.

Wouldn’t go back

The beaches and water were beautiful. Service was not what this hotel was about. Most of the staff gave the impression that they didn’t want to be there. We wished the entire staff had the same attitude as David, a very energetic and happy individual. I expected a lot more from an all inclusive resort. The Bar area closed at 11 pm. One night, a group of about 20 guests were sitting around the bar enjoying conversation and they actual closed and would not continue to serve us. So much for all inclusive. This is not a place to come if you expect any kind of excitement. Its quiet, almost too quiet at times. The food was average. It would have been nice to get out of the heat and humidity of the day and eat in a cool setting. All meals are serves outside. And again, the staff did their job, but they didn’t seem happy about it. If you want a snack outside of the meal times you are out of luck. I would have liked to have the occasional ice cream on a hot afternoon. We seemed to annoy the staff with requests such as additional servings of eggs in the morning. Overall, the stay was average. I wish I could have changed locations in the middle of our stay.

Traveler's tip

During my own research I found the tip regarding filling up empty bottles with a water cooler available by the pool very helpful. I would also suggest when planning day trips at the hotel provided "Trip Arranger" that you ask the cost of cab rides. It may be cheaper to rent a car (remember they drive on the Left side of the road).
