Excellent place to stay
Well located right outside of the main historic district. Quiet. The most appealing aspect was the rooms are huge, clean, and well designed. My daughter stayed with two girlfriends in one room, two beds and a pull out couch. Really nice to be in a European hotel with that much space. The bus stations is a couple of blocks away, so travel outside of the area is easy. Last being just on the edge of the main tourist area made dinner cost significantly less expensive.
Huge rooms easy to sleep a familly of four or five

A great option when visiting Madrid
HUSA Princesa Hotel in Madrid has a great location, near the center of the city, in a commercial area where one can find good restaurants and stores. Breakfast is a good quality buffet served in the first floor, not in the main restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Elevators may be slow at peak hours. Facilities are well kept. Internet is not free. Definitely a clear recommendation for both, tourism and business. I have been there about three times and their service is always good.

Convenient Location
We chose this hotel because it was but a 5 minute walk to the apartment in which our daughter was living while studying abroad. It also was less than a minute to the fabulous Madrid Metro station. The staff was professional and businesslike, and understood English fairly well, and our room was quite comfortable (especially the beds). Unfortunately, the room was very warm and neither the bellman nor the housekeeper correctly explained how to make it cooler. Also, breakfast was not included in the room rate. But because we went in mid-April, and in light of the poor economic situation in Europe, our room rate was incredibly reasonable. Would this be a "5 star" hotel in the U.S.? I do not think so, I think it probably would be rated a "4 star."
