Get a sea view room.
Enjoyed our stay, overall. First booked into land view room. Mistake, overlooks back of building, noisy and cramped. Go for the sea view rooms. My room had four windows that opened to allow in freash air and great views of the ocena and people walking by. This hotel is a bit far from shops and cafes, walk to and taxi back. Inexpensive taxi rides. Great staff, just wish they had early check-in for guests just off an 12 hour flight and train ride. Just something to think about when making reservations. Room service and hotel staff were very prompt and curteous.

As I said above, shops and cafes are a good distance away. We opted to walk "one way" and taxi the other.

Beware of the land view rooms.
I made the error of trying to save money on rooms. Do not fall for the "land view" rooms. They are simply one window overlooking the back of the building behind the hotel. Noisy fans and trash cans interupted my sleep. The room was smal, even for UK standards, but clean. After on night, i upgraded to an ocean front "family" room, with much more room, easy chairs, huge bath and several large windows you may open wide or tilt to see the ocean fron and let in cool breezes. At night when the traffic dies down, it is wonderful to lie in bed and listen to the oceans waves. Beautiful sun rises may be seen from the rooms facing the ocean. Hotel is gettin pretty old, but is clean and orderly. Breakfast was great. Location is not quite as close to shopping and other eateries as we would have liked. Do like us, walk to shops and cafes, then take the cheap taxi ride back to you hotel.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Local attractions are some distance. You may want to taxi over and back or use organized tours. Shopping mall and small boutique size shops are somewhat close, older folks or infirm would want to taxi.
