Excellent Downtown Chicago Hotel

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My good experience started with the efficient and very friendly staff at the front desk. I don’t know if the hotel had a concierge on staff or not; but they didn’t need one, as the staff freely offered excellent restaurant recommendations, public transportation tips, and sight-seeing ideas. The public spaces and my room were clean and spacious. My room had a huge desk space with two desk lamps - nice. While the free breakfast buffet food was not very good, the price was right. Public transportation train station an easy two block walk away. Cabs aplenty right out front. Starbucks across the street. Two drug stores only a block away so you can quickly buy what toiletries you may have forgotten to bring with you. Desk staff graciously agreed to give me late checkout time. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Lovely hotel, great price!

This hotel was within walking distance of several bus and train lines (both the El and trains from Indiana and Amtrak) and Union Station, Willis Tower, and many restaurants, including Giordano’s Pizza. We needed to be at City Colleges early in the morning and the location was perfect. Breakfast was included and it was a cut above the standard continental fare. The computers in the basement and the free wireless internet throughout the hotel were also helpful. Our room was average sized and quite comfortable. The little pops of color and the decorated window shade made it feel much more homey than most hotels. Also, the TV has some great music channels. I would stay here again hands down!

This hotel is so near many bus and train lines that you can get pretty much anywhere without having to drive in traffic. At the CVS around the corner you can get CTA day passes that cover all buses and trains and cost about two fares.
