Great View, Excellent Space for Family of 4
We were travelling by train and this hotel was very easy to get to with public transportation, as well we found out they have a shuttle bus which we took back once we checked out. It was up on a hill so had a great view. We had our own room and the kids slept in the living room on two drop down Murphy beds. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had included in a hotel. WELL worth the price we paid and would highly recommend it. Only small downside was bed was a bit hard for my taste- but overall excellent!
The hotel is up on the hill, but a short walk to the bus and for a couple of CHF you can take the bus all the way down to the town/lake. The kids had a blast on the train, metro, funicular and bendy bus and it was way cheaper than rental cars and taxis.

Very warm and friendly staff. Free parking is a big plus. Very comfortable and great location.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Great deals at Foxtown in August. For going downtown Lugano, the best place to park is in the parking lot one block before the Lugano Dante Hotel - very reasonable rates and right in the heart of the city.

Absolutely Stunning!
This hotel blew my husband and I away when we arrived for our honeymoon. The location is superb and the rooms offer exquisite views of Lugano. Dinner at the hotels restaurant was delicious and the free breakfast buffets were the best that we had in Europe.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Instead of wasting money on taxis use the bus system which goes directly to the hotels rear entrance. Walk along the lake and you’ll pass plenty of museums and other attractions.

Great hotel
We had a suite with lake/alps view. It was big, spacious & clean! My wife was really happy about the hair dryer! The best hotel we had in all Europe. Location was not bad either.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Internet in your room is not free... $30 Euros per day (and they not tell you that until you check out!)You have a free computer by the lobby. Rent a car and drive thru the mountains... nice sights! Beware of scammy taxi drivers when you arrive! Consult withe the reception to find out how much the ride should be! Do not eat in their restaurant... overpriced and disgusting!
