Good value, excellent breakfast.
The price and location are good. The breakfast choices are excellent. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Avoid the nearby Maria Callas Restaurant - overpriced.

Served its purpose
We spent the last night of our recent 2-week trip to Italy in Verona to see the opera. We needed a hotel that was close to the Arena, comfortable, and reasonably priced. There weren’t many options available online by the time I started checking, but the Hotel Armando worked out well for us. It was a bit pricey, but I guess that’s par for the course for a Saturday night during opera season. The hotel location (3 blocks from the Arena) was very convenient, the room was amply-sized and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful (they didn’t even charge me for the 15 minutes I spent on their guest computer trying, unsuccessfully, to print out my boarding passes). The breakfast buffet was also very good with a wide variety of offerings.
