You cant get a better location, with regards to Yale. Great restaurants and shops nearby. Very nice hotel. My only complaint is that I had to pay for parking, which I didnt realize.

The Worst
We tried to check in at 2:30 pm and the rooms werent ready. We said no problem but could we just check in and store our bags; we would come back for the keys later. They said, "no". My colleague called to ask if he could order a beer and a snack. They said, "no". They didnt say that there was a mini mart in the lobby and a bar that he could visit. They inferred (in the phone call above) there was no kitchen or food. I came down late the next morning all prepared to hit the pavement and look for breakfast and they had free coffee and a full buffet. The carpet in my room was dirty and smelled. I sat down on the carpet and was disgusted. Lastly, they decided to change the carpet in the lobby when I was there (thank God). I asked if I could use a house phone. She directed me to the house phone where the carpet was being changed. I mentioned the carpet; she indicated then I was just out of luck. Then the manager said I could use his phone. Lastly, because they were changing the carpet, I knew I couldnt carry my luggage. I asked them what I should do. She said, "I guess you just have to take it out the front door and take it all the way around. Thats it. I asked if there was a cart to do that. She said no. Then finally the informed manager stepped in and said he would send a bellman to do it for me. Why didnt anyone behind the counter have any good ideas? Unbelievable, the worst--except for the manager.
