Always my favorite place to stay in DC
I’ve probably written this before, but this is my favorite hotel to stay at in DC. You couldn’t ask for a better location in Dupont Circle, convenient to the Metro, great restaurants, and shopping. The hotel was great before the remodel, but now it’s even better. I do wish they would put the coffee makers back in the rooms for convenience, but the free coffee in the lobby in the mornings is great. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms nicely appointed. The only drawback that some might consider if they are sharing a room is that the bath/dressing area walls are glass, so they offer minimal privacy. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. If you watch you can usually get some decent rates for this area of town in somewhat of an upscale hotel. I have to point out again, you couldn’t ask for a better location in the city for getting around.

Room much too cramped
We are three sisters. When we travel together we like separate beds if possible. But we are satisfied with 2 Queen beds. However the Dupont Hotel only offers 2 double beds and they fill the whole room. The room is so small that the half closet door got jammed open against one of the beds. There was no bureau. You can’t open the door to the area of the shower and commode if someone is standing at the sink. The water from the shower wets the floor in the commode/shower area since there is no divider.
Washington DC is a great city to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the city.

it worked well for us
The hotel overall was very good. The breakfast is a bit expensive. I would go elsewhere. We ordered special wine, cheese and fruit they did not do this. fortunately I called from the airport and they did get it done but the cheese and fruit were not good. The bathroom is quite interesting but functional.. Small but met our needs just fine. Bed is very comfortable and the bell hops are the best, very helpful and got a cab to give us a great nightime tour at a reasonable rate. Thanks and yes I would recommend...
