Comfortable Stay
My stay at the Hotel de Mont Royal was comfortable. The desk attendants were pleasant, and were able to guide us to interesting locations around the city. The location of the hotel could not be any better. You are in the center of the city only a short walk, bike ride, or drive to main tourist sites. Also, there is a very convenient and clean subway system right out side of the hotel. This allows for easy and quick access all around the city. The one, and only complaint I had with this central location was that a bit loud at night. With the cars and ambulances passing at night, I found it difficult at times to fall to sleep. Overall I thought the hotel was great, has air conditioning, T.V, and a nice comfortable bed thats all I need.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
If you are looking for a fun nightlife, montreal definitely has that. From Cafes, to Jazz Bars, to Restaurants montreal is littered with fun and hip places to be. The city at night, I feel, had a rather large homosexual population. In fact, there is an entire street devoted to the homosexual community. For families I would suggest staying closer to the hotel there are a lot of fun and great restaurants close by! And for the single folks lots of bars and grills for you to go out and meet others.
