Horrendous service levels...don’t even think about it.

When we arrived at the hotel, we waited 20 minutes for valet service. Once inside the hotel, we waited in a line to check in for another half hour. There was only one person behind the check in desk which accomodates 7. When we went to check out, we experienced the same drill. I had two questions on my bill (which were correct) but had to wait in the line to verify them. When we arrived home, my wife realized that she had left her watch behind. The indifference by hotel security, and the housekeeping department was shocking. This is not an inexpensive hotel...but you can expected to be treated as though you are staying in one. The hotel is nice, and I rated it accordingly...but if you want an acceptable service level....DO NOT LOOK HERE FOR IT.

Perfect Location

We had a wonderful stay from the start -- "Angel," our bellman, was very friendly and informative, and the location is hard to beat -- seemed like it was in the heart of everything and made our destinations easy to get to -- also had a GREAT VIEW overlooking Times Square...

walking distance to many Broadway theaters, restaurants and bars, and being in mid-town it is a short cab ride from everything else...

Nice hotel, comfortable and an excellent location

We found the hotel to be very comfortable. The bed was firm and the room was clean. Checking in and checking out were no problem and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Traveler's tip on dining

We ate at the Pig and Whistle which was with in easy walking distance. The food was excellent and so was the service and prices weren’t that bad.

Exlent location, but too expensive for that quality, and bad view...

Very nice hotel, and excellent location. But the view we got (18th floor) was totaly worthless. I was told there was going to be good view... For that price I expect something more. Left early sunday morning (6 am), I forgot to tip the doorman that got me a taxi (sorry about that, but when coming from Europe, I am not used to tip, and it was very early and I was tired and forgot it...) But the doorman really got mad and shouted after the taxi when we left! I really expect better service from a hotel of this priceclass!!

Not impressed

My husband and I only needed a room for one night so that we didn’t have to travel home after a broadway show real late. Hotel pix look great, especially for the price and convenient location. But there is a catch to the great price. Check-in time was long - 1 man working the desk, nowhere to sit. Given how long the line was, he was very, very nice. Rooms spacious for NY and clean. Beds were horribly uncomfortable - can’t imagine getting a good night sleep. Mattreses are literally rock hard, scratchy linens, no blanket unless you use the bedspread and 2 small size pillows. The set of electrical outlets were not working, light was not working, only 2 bath towels. It was definitely no frills. Stayed one night and that was more than enough.

Traveler's tip on dining

Great location for restaurants and plays. Right in the middle of it all.

Can’t wait to return to NYC @ this hotel.

Great hotel and location. Was our first time in NYC and close to everything. Requested room with view of Times Square - received corner room on the 37th floor. Had a great view of Times Square and window even partially opened so you could get fresh air and hear the sounds. Everything was in walking distance or easily accessible by bus. Only took a taxi once. Loved the city! Would definitely recommend this hotel!!!!!

Great Location

Excellent location..... 1 block from Times Square. Difficult to get taxis from hotel due to congestion around Times Square. We had constant problems with electronic keys to room. The problem was never resolved. Good value considering location.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Great Deli across the street for breakfast.

Not impressed this time church street Millennium is way nicer.

I always stay in the Millennium when in New York, but this was the 1st in Times square. I will not be back to that hotel. I was always having to call the front desk or housekepping for one thing or another. Our bathroom was never clean and the lights didn’t want to come on bed was not comfortable. Room was way too hot, when we asked for a fan we were told to turn off the AC and open the window. The one on Church street always gives us a fan. We didn’t get the room we wanted had to settle for 1 bed in order to get into the room when we arrived. Traveler’s are tired when they arrive and want to rest, you should really rethink your booking arrangements. I booked my room 3 months in advance you would think that that would be plenty of time to block a room for me. I mean resorvations should mean that you have a room (the room that was requested)ready when traveler’s arrive. I won’t be back to this location again.........

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Travel is not cheep so I think you would go out of your way to help so they would come back.

NY best hotel

One street away from Times Square, great room space & conditions compared to traditional NY hotel rooms (even cheap). Excellent service quality. This is a great option if you want to be near all important atractions.

Except for check in delay, great hotel

My stay at the Broadway Millineum was not the most memorable ever, but I have no complaints except that the line for check in was very long and very slow when I arrived at 6:30 p.m. on a Friday night.

Showering in the dark

This hotel was a good hotel to stay at in New York. It is right on Time Square, the hotel staff are friendly, the place is clean, and it is affordable. The room size is typical for a New York Hotel, my only pet peeve was that there was no light in the shower. There is a light in the bathroom, but not one in the shower. That just made it dark for showering. After all, how much time do you spend in the shower? Oh, also there wasn’t a fan in the bathroom either. So hopefully you don’t leave a stinker.

Would stay again

Rooms were comfy, clean and staff helpful and courteous. Pleasantly surprised. Hotel is within walking distance of several attractions.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Purchase the NY pass and take a tour bus. With the combo of the two you’ll be surprised at how much $$ you can save.

Great Hotel in Great Location

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The room was large for NYC, clean, quiet, and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. We had a very nice view and the location was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

If going to the Statue of Liberty, skip the interior tours, the lines are terrible and not worth what you see. Walk around grounds snap a few photos and spend your time at Ellis Island, its very interesting.

Not as nice as the Westin or W

I’ve been to NYC/Times Square several times in the past for business. I’ve always stayed at the Westin Times Square. This time, I tried the Millennium Broadway Hotel because of the price and to try a new place out. I took the red eye and arrived at 7am. I had two rooms and had requested if we could early check-in. I know it is a courtesy to allow it; they told me to call at 12pm. I waited and called at 12:30pm and I was rudely told that 1 room ’might’ be ready at 2pm. I arrived back at my hotel at 2:30 and was told both rooms were ready. 1 room was a corner with a great view of Times Square and the other ended up being a smoking-room. We had to change rooms to a different floor and be separated. The room had issues. Initially, the AC did not seem to blow cold air. It was mid-August and it was muggy out. Then, the bathroom did not have a fan nor did the door open all the way. It would hit the toilet. The sink in the bathroom was also not draining properly. When maintenance was called, the guy rudely told me that the AC was as cold as it would get and I could feel free to change rooms. Also, that I should’ve notified the front desk right away instead of waiting a few hours. I did not feel for a little more in asking price that it was worth the service or inconvenience. I would much rather stay at a Starwood hotel in the future.
