Not bad?
Although the staff and service was excellent I will not be staying at Shelborne anymore because the rooms are extremely small. We stayed in the Oceanfront Suite and we only had room to walk directly in and out of the bathroom. Not a bad location, but there isnt that much action at night. There wasnt too many restaurants either that was close to the hotel. This hotel required entirely too much walking for me, if your out of shape; if you’re outof shape its not a good destination for you. The hotel was definitely overpriced overall.
City and boat tours were interesting.

2nd visit as good as the first
I travel pretty regularly to South Beach and had such a great stay at the Shelborne on my recent visit, that I booked again for my return stay. (Got another great rate through Expedia and then called the hotel and they gave me a big room looking at the ocean beacuse I’m now a returning guest!) Great room & service, cheap rate and perfectly located. Jackpot!

Shelbroke Hotel
The key cards did not work - had to get security to open door each time we came back to our room & then their key would get stuck in the door for like 20 minutes each time! Maintenance came twice & both times were unable to fix the problem. Had to request room change. Requested bowls & utensils several time - each time they took forever & then brought the wrong things. The pool area was nice & so was the food & service by the pool.
