Excellent Wedding Reception Location
My husband and I held our wedding reception at the Hilton Pasadena in October 2009. It was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious (we only wish we could have eaten more!), the staff incredibly attentive and helpful, and even with the few minor glitches that happened, the whole celebration ran smoothly. One of my bridesmaids and I stayed over the night before and were greeted warmly at our 9:30pm check-in. The front desk kept the names of all my family and our hair stylist so they could be easily directed to my room for the following day’s preparation activities. Room Service was quick and delicious. When a bridesmaid dropped an earring down the sink, we called the front desk and an engineer promptly came to retrieve it. That night, when our cocktail hour room was too packed, they opened our main hall early for us. Since my husband and I also stayed at the hotel after the reception, the staff had our room decorated with rose petals and provided us with chilled champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries to enjoy upon our return to our room. Further reasons for the 5-star rating include the super sweet valet staff (who retrieved my friend’s car because she forgot some important items), the staff who swiftly brought in another table and chairs when we needed them, helping us get our cake cutting done early because the cake was melting, the complementary breakfast buffet the morning after the reception, and the bell hop who kept us on our toes with his witty humor.

not impressed
lobby area and entrance were well kept and clean. the room was small for 2 beds and felt cramped. they told us our room was ready, but when we got there, one of the beds was not done and the sheets and pillows were all over the floor. we had to call the housekeeper to make the bed in front of us which was very awkward.
