Nice overall but needs to improve lighting
This is a new hotel and the bedside lamps were not installed in our room yet but since we did not spend much time in the room is was not a big issue. The room was small but all we needed. There is a large flat screen tv with interactive info on the hotel and Brisbane including activities in the city. The restaurant/bar was a great place to spend some time in the late afternoon having a couple of drinks and appetizers. The wireless internet did not work in our room and the hookup was only about a foot long but the front desk supplied us with a cord long enough to move onto the bed and sit to use computer. Nice tea and coffee selection provided. The lights in the bathroom need to be stronger, not enough light and more shelf space needed in bathroom. There is an ipod player/alarm clock in the room but no instructions on how to use it. We had a balcony that was great to sit on and the room was quiet even facing the street on the 3rd floor. Easy walk to shopping and food.

New and clean, but tiny and odd
I believe this hotel opened in 2009 so it is quite new and looks it. Staff was friendly and helpful (though I was a bit miffed that they did not mention that there was a fee for the valet parking -- there is no parking lot). The hotel itself reminds me hotels in New York -- it goes straight up and everything is tiny. The room is the smallest I have ever stayed in. Barely enough room to open our suitcases. The light in the bathroom is extremely dim. I know it was a conscious choice on their part since the hotel is new. We were able to deal with it, but it was just very odd. I didnt have an unpleasant stay, but I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to others.
