What to expect: Offering close proximity to Old Town Scottsdale's shopping, dining, and nightlife, the FireSky Resort & Spa - a Kimpton Hotel draws couples as well as families. The lobby showcases Mediterranean design, and has a soaring wood-beamed ceiling. Sofas and chairs are arranged in conversational groups; board games are available. Fireplaces burn fragrant native woods. In the evenings, the resort hosts a complimentary wine reception.
Amenity highlights: A complimentary daily shuttle takes guests to (and picks up from) destinations within three miles of the resort, including shops at Scottsdale Fashion Square and Old Town Scottsdale. The tropical courtyard features a garden, two pools, and a spot for outdoor dining.
Insider tip: Scottsdale Fashion Square is four blocks away, and is one of Arizona's most prestigious shopping malls, with restaurants, retail shops, and bars. Traditional storefronts are two blocks farther, in Old Town Scottsdale.

The Jurlique Spa at FireSky Resort, the hotel’s 3,500 square-foot day spa, houses six treatment rooms, including one couples massage room.
