Don’t splurge for a seaview room
The Lapad is a nice hotel in a relatively quiet area, convenient for those who are driving. The rooms are clean and modern, breakfasts good, and staff polite. Tends to be overloaded with tour groups, but so does Dubrovnik as a whole. We’ve stayed in both regular rooms and, most recently, a seaview room. Despite a premium charge, room 25 instead has a great view of the roof of another building - you have to stick your head out the window to see water at all. No balcony, either. Stay with a regular room - they’re cheaper and nicer!

Great find!
The hotel was sparkling clean, the pool was lovely, and we had a view of the harbor. About ten minutes away was the bus to the walled city or a lovely pedestrian walk to the beach lined with restaurants and cafes. Perfect!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The walk to the bus wasn’t far but it was uphill. When you return at night, there are two stops closer to the hotel.
