The Artist Cottage is a Hawaiian treat.
We’ve traveled the Big Island for years and tried many accomodations.The Artist Cottage is exceptional. It is charming, artistically appointed, and plentifully stocked with food. Bed and bath linens are luxurious and the kitchen is equipped with fine cookware, tableware, and glassware. Hosts Bob and Bonnie are warm and generous. If you want a real Hawaiian aloha experience, stay here.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Don’t miss a few days in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Hiking and birding are very exciting in this park, not to mention the lava flows.

Our stay was a surprise, but for all the right reasons. Our room was beautifully set out and the kitchen area was a delight. The fridge, freezer and cupboards were stocked with all manner of treats and both our hosts made us feel most welcome. We will certainly go back.
